WWII/Snow Texture WIP
I've got a WWII vig coming up, and I need some help on the snow texture. I'm still debating on whether or not to use a studded landscape or not. Just take a look and give some suggestions. I'm not adding figs yet 'cause that's a surprise.

Hmmm, I'm not a real big expert on making mocs (which is probably why I'm stuck on trying to figure out my app) but to tell you truth, I think it looks amazing. I would keep it and have an "original" design. Good luck, I'm sure it will turn up great!

I'm not an expert on this either, but I personally think that studded snow looks better, unless you are trying to show some thing. Such as... are those footprints on the left? They look great.(If that's what they are)

If you are going studless use a snot base not tiles. Also the dishes look out of place personally.

I think it's supposed to be a heap of snow. @TheMissingPiece: just go on with it the way it is: tiles and studs, mixed for textureCommander Halen wrote:If you are going studless use a snot base not tiles. Also the dishes look out of place personally.
Re: WWII / Snow Texture WIP
I would go with studs. Tiles seem like they would go better on very large MOCs seeing as the quantity of other things would draw away from the ground. But tiles are fine on any MOC if you are trying to do lots of detailing in the snow, like footprints or tank tracks.

Agreed. Snot that base and then use the headlight brick for footprints in the snow. You can create snowdrifts and banks too atop the snot.
