[Military] CH-106 Titan

My newest MOC and the first to be posted on here in a while is the CH-106 Titan Heliopter!
Over the past year or so I have succumbed to "Photo Block", being scared to take pictures of my creations because...I kinda suck at it. But I have been building the whole time!

The Titan Helicopter is a heavy lift and transport helicopter, designed to operate directly in the battlesphere and conduct secondary missions as well. The cargo bay accomodates a Puma Fast Attack Vehicle, and a troop platform inside is fitted with a retractable minigun turret and door on either side. A rapel door is fitted in the helicopter, enabling the a line to be lowered by internal winch to carry equipment or conduct insertion or rescue missions. A knob on the back of the helicopter spins both rotor blades simultaneously in a counterrotating pattern, four revolutions per every one revolution of the knob.

I love it! The door on the back is fantastic. I also like the blue color and the turret.

Sweet. That's a lot of blue. I'm a little jealous. :grin:

Thanks guys! I have been working on this for the past month or so. Rook remember back when I asked about pull back motors? Well I actually tested the system and it worked well with the big motor on a small scale. I built it into this, it's actually in the model in the back engine section. However, there is so much friction through the gears and the driveshaft that the motor does not have enough torque even pulled back all the way to move the rotors. So it was a good attempt....but the rotors still work perfectly manually cranked.

Very old school. Reminds me of the sort of thing I used to build when I had access to my neighbour's (possibly larger, definitely more well-organised) LEGO collection.

Dude, I love this. The color scheme is unique and it really sets this apart. Definitely old school like Jinja said. But hey, there is nothing wrong with old school. You have my vote in the contest...

Thank you guys! I am not sure if Old School is supposed to be a compliment, but when I look at all my creations that is kindof what they are. The Paint Job was honestly inspired by the Alien Attack mobile headquarters or whatever. I bought that set for some of the parts for this helicopter!
