Samurai vs. Ninja.
Well this was originally just a bridge, then I added the "bricks", then I added the tan, then decided it looked like a desert and added plants. And now you have what is before you. Please give me your feedback.
Re: Samurai vs. Ninja.
Could be alot better. Add a river or stream beneath the bridge and beef up the bank a little. Add a few green plates to the outsides where the foliage is at.

River is a maybe, green is a no. I want a sandy feel to it.

Adding a few green plates on the edges would give a better feel to the scene. In my opinion it would make it look like a river/stream bank.
I think the scene would look much better with a brown bridge instead of a grey bridge with red highlights. If you are trying to get it so the bridge looks like it's made out of stone you are just going to have to ditch the red coloring and add some bley to it in assorted places giving a sort of cobble feel to it.
I would also feel that the bridge would be acceptable in Star Wars, but certainly not in old Japan where they enjoyed nature. Perhaps add a cherry blossom tree to represent the culture?
This is what I am basing my critique off of:
