Republic Artillery Gun
Here is a system scale Republic Artillery Gun I built. Building a minifig scale one would take a long time considering the reference pic I used, so I built a system scale. For those of you who don't know, Republic Artillery Gun's are those cannons that were used during the Battle of Christophis seen in the 4 minute Youtube video that is shown on these forums. Here are the pics:
The piece count is about 115, give or take. So depending on the amount of figs, which would probably be Clone, Cody, Rex, Obi-Wan, and Anakin, maybe a Jet Trooper, and a few battle droids, the set would probably be around $20-$30, which would be relatively cheap compared to the other CW sets.

I think they were a bit bigger, the gun was about the height of a person, but this is still good.

This was already explained, I built it in system scale instead of minifig scale.

It is the scale that they built the 2004 Millennium Falcon and the 2006 Slave I in. Not exactly minifig scale, but can fit minifigs in it.

Re: Republic Artillery Gun
Looks great. I'm glad to see someone build this. It's not much different then what I would do.
Re: Republic Artillery Gun
It looks good besides the fact that I just finished my anti-aircraft gun! Oh well.
Re: Republic Artillery Gun
I might make this a 727th vehicle. It depends on how useful it is though.

Re: Republic Artillery Gun
Good work Jedi Joe. Sometimes things just actually look better at system scale. You've seemed to use the right pieces and you've got the overall appearance down. You beat me to this moc and did quite a good job.
Re: Republic Artillery Gun
I love it... suprised we haven't seen this from Lego actually, with the new movie and all.

That's because TLC doesn't want to sell sets with a Clone Minifig in it for under $40.00 yet! People want clone armies with the new series out, so they'll have to buy expensive sets. Good marketting technique Wait til Janaury though, we'll see some cheaper ones..

Thank God! But that is a really good technique.

You know, Lego could always design a minifigure scale one and charge over $40 for it!
Thanks for all the positive comments guys! I really appreciate it.

No need to over-exaggerate, nick. I doubt TLC would make a set this...drab; no offense, but if this was a set, it would have a little bit of light green and some dark red in it's colour scheme. Now, all that aside, this is a pretty accurate turret! Taking into account that it was only seen for 20 seconds in the video, but it's pretty close to what I can see!

Re: Republic Artillery Gun
I love it! I tried to do one of these, but wanted to make it really big, like the one in the movie. Those dwarfed the Clones.*
But it's still awesome .

Re: Republic Artillery Gun
Nicely done! I wish I'd thought of that.
Weren't you planning on making one though?
Me? No, of course not.

So yeah, great job!

Re: Republic Artillery Gun
I really like it, the legs are sort of cool. I need to do an AA or artillery gun.
