Tri and quad droids! -Ice and forest droids on page 2-

Without further a do my two latest creations, a custom quad droid and a tri droid.

The quad droid,

finally my two creations and a clone.


Like the new tri droid, the quad droid can roatate its head and fire.
This tri droid was a prototype before the one we know today.
The IG-88 heads on top of its legs are `brains` each controlling a differant leg and one of the three guns (they are not eyes!)
The `brains` are also capable of letting out a toxic gas just like new tri droid can.
Because of the height of the tri droid clones can easily run under it and shoot up, so it is equipped with small bombs underneath to destroy anything under it.

Was the quad droid canon? I could swear it is. great job, everyone seems to be making these tri-droids these days. I need to go on bricklink and buy a tri-droid fighter now! *runs off to do so

I have to say I am very impressed with these creations. Good scale too, if I am not mistaken.

Offically, they're known as Octuptarra Droids. Yes, they are cannon . Clicky.


Eh, I really can't say good job, because I'm not to hot about either, sorry . The colors are off, and the taller one is simply the offical model moved about.

I oughta' try my hand at one of these once I'm done with my current MOC!

I think they're both well done, I'd love to see these in a big battle scene!

Nice, love the tri-droid! I'd try to make the color more acurate though if you can get the pieces .

Pretty good but I would make the tri droids legs little more like bly's.

I would get more pieces but being english and in the middle of nowhere it took me 2 days to just look through my spares and even my friends spares, plus it is just a CIS prototype so its meant to look different

The first one is awesome, but the second one is not that good. Something about the overall look pushes it down to 8/10.

Really? I thought they were both pretty good. I mean obviously the tri-droid's legs are a little off but I still think it looks good

I don't know, but something about the positioning of the legs makes me think 'organic' and not 'mechanic'.

Yeah, that's what I thought with the first one, too. It's sort of a synthesis of the two in the cartoon/film, but this here is just organic.

But surprisingly, that was my opinion for the second one and I thought the first one looked fine. The quad-droid just isn't that appealing to me.

I liked the first one, but thought it was too organic. I didn't like the second one, but it was more mechanical.

I liked the first one, it was pretty good.

The ice droid,

The Ice quad droids are feared throughout the republic as they have the ability to freeze stuff.

Very nice, the white one looks even better!

The forest droid


It has paddles for legs so it can easily walk through thick mud and clear the path for battle droids and other CIS units.

Nice! Are you going to make a vulcanic one aswell?

I like them, these are very good ideas. The do look all alike though.

The original started of as a lava droid but soon evolved into a standard quad droid,
anyway I probaly wont do anymore do to lack of pieces and imagination

Wow, I love the ice droid! The forest droid is good too but the vig for the ice one was really good (simple but good).
