The Techno Union Monster- Completed
Yep. I finally finished my entry moc for the Beasts of Burden Guild Build. Just added a lab and some greebles. I couldn't create much of a story due to lack of pieces/baseplates but I'll try my best
Commander Calamitous and Rottkan Jedi General Argan Ke'evan investigate a ripple in the force, as sensed by the High Jedi Council. Upon the outer rim world of Xagobah they uncover a disturbing find, a creature that the Techno Union has altered by using experimental technology. The result is an Bio-Mechanical Super Weapon.
As General and Commander stumble into the lab, the disturbing find is made.
The Techno Union had altered a native species of the planet into a Bio-Mechanical superweapon.
As they awake it, it belches out a triumphant roar.
They also discover what appears to have been a stand off between the monster and Techno Union workers.
Top View: I really liked the greebles of this moc.
Top View: I also really liked the colors that I ended up mixing together.
Final Top View
The monster they created seems to have turned on them.
Even the control panel, could not prevent it from lashing about and killing them.
A hardware specialist tried blatently to shut down the monster using the boom-lift.
He hangs off the side of the lift, with his blood dripping from the controll panel.
I liked this little boom-lift control stage I made.
It had a lot of greebles. The Front can fold down for exit when on the ground.
Front/top view of the stage- you stand inside it.
I liked building the railing of this little thing too
Backview of the greebles.
The lift is really flexible and can rotate about 360 degrees in any direction. Here's a shot with the front hatch and panels folded down.
Weaponry time. The bottom left arm, one of four, stores 3 beefed up proton torpedos.
The bottom right arm holds a complex gravitaty manipulator. It literally warps space and time in a designated enclosed area, which can cause it's primary target to suffer weightlessness, confusion, and loss of sense of dimensions. Perhaps this weapon was the lead cause of the Workers.
Both top left and right arms are identicle. They are biological and mechanical (as well as most of the monster) but have been inserted gearing for more menuverability. The three fingers located on each hand are completely flexible and 100% muscle, allowing the monster to grasp any object firmly. Mechanical stems located at the base of the hand provide the fingers with an electrical charge for shocking victims/objects.
At the mid-area of the once completely biological creature, repulsorlift/thrust engines have replaced legs allowing the monster to move quicker, and over tougher terrain.
The center of the monsters chest has been replaced with a functional energy-drive crystal giving it all its operating power.
The head of the monster. Shoulders and neck gearing/armor provide 360 degree rotation. At the base of the neck there is an atmospheric breathing apperatus converter- which allows the monster to breathe in any climate, even space. The inside of the mouth has been fitted with phrick teeth, and a flame disperser. The creature has 3 eyes, 1 located atop it's head for a full hemisphere's view of it's surroundings, as well as two side eyes offering another 2 hemispheres of view. The integrated brain is located on the back of it's head, and is linked to the biological brain.
As well as providing balance, the tail has been fit with an ion-canon which is capable of whipping around to blast targets.
A back shot of the monster: the integrated droid brain is located beneath the dark blue armor with the CIS insignia.
A side view of the gravity manipulator. You can see a lot of the greebles here, as well as some more CIS insignia.
The back armor had to be fused into the creatures spinal chord, but eventually it failed. Now it's just mechanical offering more menuverability.
Side shot of the proton torpedo arm.
More greebles.
Another view of the head.
Ke'evan remarks, "My lord, what have they done to you; they've made you into a monster."
"Get heavy artillery into sector 9 now!" shouts Calamitous over the holocom.
"I don't want to hurt you creature of Xagobah, but the Techno Union has made you into a monster, and a very grave threat. I will do what I must." says Ke'evan.
"Now Trooper!" says Calamitous as General Ke'evan ignites his light saber.

Gave me a flashback to season two of the Clone Wars!
Crikey, that thing is amazing! The attention to detail just blows my mind. Love that blood effect, too. Makes me wish I had some of those pieces.

Re: The Techno Union Monster- Completed
Thanks guys! I spent a fair amount of time on it, and am pretty pleased with the results
Sailboats- It kinda reminded me of when Anakin goes to save the Nelvaan warriors from the Techno Union too. If you want those red pieces you can get them in vast amounts for cheap prices on bricklink!

Re: The Techno Union Monster- Completed
Is there any need to vote for the guild build or MOC of the month? This kicks the crap out of what I have.

The monster awesome alright; but what sets this MOC apart is the boom lift. Such an ingenious design; I love it! And how could I not comment on the Rottkan; after all I did invent the name!

Thanks Axel I think I might be using a similar design for the control part of the boom lift when I eventually make Mustafar. Yep, you named him, kudos!
Re: The Techno Union Monster- Completed
That was a joke, I don't really love you. (I assume that you figured that out, just clearing it up! ) Awesome job, I'm very ery very loosely basing my CIS for the OLympics on this.

Yes I understood don't worry That's cool. What are you basing off of? The lab? The monster? The Techno Union Workers?

Please edit this post and use proper spelling, grammar, capitalization, & punctuation. Thanks. ADMIN
Thank you. I was beginning to wonder if anyone would notice the snake
Re: The Techno Union Monster- Completed
Yeah, I realised that it was the Basilisk, but it seemed kind of obvious to me, so I kept my mouth shut...
