Then you choose whatever pic you want...

If it's from the internet, go to File>Open Location and copy-paste the URL.

Hey, can one of you "Master Gimpers" tell me how to make smoke?

Just get a brush, make it gray or whatever color smoke you want, and move it back and forth and up at the same time.

Then use the smudge tool and smudge it!

tell me how to make smoke

1. Go to the woods or field (preferably field) and gather up as much dried out grass as you can.

2. In a safe location, such as the kitchen sink ( Razz

), place all the dried grass. Make sure no one is in the room when you do this.

3. Take a match, strike it against the side of the box, and carefully place it near the bottom of the pile of dried grass.

4. Run like hell.

Well...

Mess around with the brush. If you want see-through smoke...

Select the "Circle Fuzzy" brush. Any size is fine. Check the "Fade out" box on the bottom. Start from the bottom, and make a quick stroke up.

That's how I do it. Sial probably could help you more.

Astor brings a good point up...How about at the front of topic, you make an index of all the tutorials in this post and you link to each one of the replies that has a tutorial.
