Upgraded V-19 Torrent Starfighter

I love the V-19 a lot, besides the ARC-170 it's my probably favorite Fighter. So I bought the LEGO version (4 in fact ) and was dissapointed to discover it lacked a lot accuracy wise, so I modded and upgraded it, this is what I came up with:

Nice little MODS, I can't see many but the ones I see are good.

Wow! That's really good. I don't have a V-19, so I'm not sure what's different, but it's still nice!

Yeah, my mods are meant to be subtle ones, it's my hope that they can't be noticed unless I point them out.

You made a good comprimise between TLC`s basic design and the real one.

(P.S. I saw a V-19 for $30 somewhere. )

Yeah, Wal-Mart has them on sale for $30 to make room for the new sets.

That is awesome. I have one thousand V-19s, but my 100 pound dog fell off the couch and onto the Torrent and it's platform. I also agree with you, the Torrent is only bested by the ARC-170. Gasp! I'm a 10 minute member! YAY!

My dad used to do that all the time, like when I bumped my leg on the table, he'd go, "is the table ok"??

I'd make it dark green. seriously they need more lime or dark green... They're pretty sweet colors.

Well you know me! Everything has to be blue for my legion...

I'm not a fan of V-19s (or any Clone War's era starfighters in general) but they are some nice mods, especially the cockpit - it does make it look more canon. I think they need proper star wars fans to design these lego sets (unless they do... ...) - there's all sorts of details they miss out

The problem is that Lego is based as a toy for small children - so functions and playability are more important then detail. Kids don't notice if the cockpit is the right shape and if a grill or something is added.

Really DP, ABL has just overcome two major relatively unnoticed design flaws in the V-19's structure without incurring playability; I think Zulu's point is well placed.

I, myself don't have a V-19 but my cousin does and on his it was missing some parts so the wings didn't move on it. Anyway... nice mods they make it look more realistic.

I understand your point DP...

But I also think it's due to pricing, if they made everything EXACTLY canon and accurate, it'd be pretty dang expensive...

I know it's not just that, that's why you and me like that but the original concept is a toy for small children.

Also, lego would save lots of bricks delivering an already satisfactory product I suppose, rather than going for every detail - it would also be easier to pack and build.
