Ending Creepy Minifig Faces
So, most of us hate the creepy CW minifig faces, right? We also know that you can remove printing to some degree of precision with a pencil eraser (e.g. my Lissarkh). Why not combine both and solve the problem? Here's a quick Photoshop mockup of how one might improve the Mace Windu head, as an example:

Wow, this is really neat! I never knew you could do it with a pencil eraser!
Re: Ending Creepy Minifig Faces
The Windu pictures are just mockups, but the trando Jedi I linked to is real.

Yep. If you want to remove the printing on a whole brick, however, I'd recommend a larger eraser or Brasso.667thLegion wrote:Just a pencil eraser? Like on the end of a pencil?

How much scrubbin' do you have to do? I worked really hard at a Spider Man face I wasn't going to use, and it barely did anything...

It requires a fair amount of elbow grease, so it helps if you're not a wimp.

I was trying this on a clone and the finished result looks great! This is a very useful technique!
Re: Ending Creepy Minifig Faces
I've experimented with a pencil eraser before, and I've only gotten mediocre results. And that Mace render, the eyes are still big, though it is not as creepy, you're right.

Yeah, I agree. There shouldn't be so many wrinkles and lines.

#3.
It's the most balanced and looks most like the CW Mace without being too exagerated.

Number five. It looks the most like Mace Windu the most to me.

Well, I have to say that the pencil eraser works well! Do you cover spots you want to keep with tape?
Re: Ending Creepy Minifig Faces
Actually, Jinj...
Some pencil erasers don't work with removing printing on Lego pieces. I have many, and some are really good, and some don't do anything.

Yeah, I find that the brand called "Magic Eraser" lives up to its name.

And yes 667, you cover the bits you want to keep with tape.

I like the fourth and the fifth, if the fifth is a little odd.
