Made this city the last night, its built on one of these:
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6024px2

After the waters from the 2087 flood had receded, the ground was left with huge plants, unhospitable terain and new creatures that had adapted to the new world and become increadably dangerous. This meant the remaining humans had to build cities on top of cliffs, mountains or build floating cities. There was now barely any contact between cities and they became self suficent, making everything the needed themsleves.

I would deeplink the pics, but I've added notes to the flickr pics telling what some of the buildings are.

That is pretty neat. I especially like the dome facilities idea.

I actually really like this Smile . The one little bit of construction critisism I have is the layout of the place is a little bit confusing...But it's still really cool, nice work.

Eh, it's a little sloppy, but overall it's a C+ design. While there are too many studs, too many tubes, and too little admirable aesthetic qualities... it's novel Wink.

Everything looks a bit jumbled. Try making some of buildings or structures thicker. Otherwise, it's pretty nicely done.

The fact that you put all this detail into this little area makes me think: you could've done more with this: had you used a light grey XLarge baseplate and made some simple dark grey rock formations you would've had a much better landform to work with and been able to shape it to your desire. Most of these buildings look quite nice, but it's too close. It's too compact. New York City isn't two miles across, and I doubt a city like this would be. Razz

I would really suggest redoing this; it's not a bad idea and it can't hurt to improve on it.
