Just keep working at it, and put a little more work into it. You'll get something with at least a decent result.

The one PD posted almost half a year ago, that's what Heady used. I'm not sure what Joe did. I deleted all my GIMP'd pictures off my harddrive, so I don't have the one I made.

The cropping of Rex is really great but everywhere else it fails. Try making a more creative background.

They're too square. While I understand your trying to emulate the "LEGO" effect, the matter of the fact is GIMP is really something better charged with increasing the realism of something than doing the opposite thereof. Lightsaber... not Light-Stick-With-Which-I-Will-Bludgeon-You-To-Death-With.



Aside from that, no. A little better black balance could be in order, maybe some lens flare and multiple layer passes, but... nope. S'good.
