PizzaMovies' "Great Wars Era" Faction *WIP*

As some of you may know I rather have a fancy for everything WWII themed, so I've decided to make a faction to satisfy my crave of WWII themed LEGO, and I think I'm doing some good work so far...

Anyway, as of right now, I have 3 factions, the Americans, British, and Germans! With a hope for the Japs and Ruskies in the far furture!

Progress so far:

American

101st Airborne Paratroopers (helmets, weapons, and torso assembly for the rest of them on the way.)



Sherman Tank (halfway done, and yes I know I mixed the grays, but I'm getting more matching gray pieces from BL.)



British

2nd Airborne Infantry Section (weapons on the way)



Willys Jeep (almost done with it.)



German

Panzer Grenadiers (helmets and weapons on the way.)



Half-Track (in planning stage...)

Well, let me know how I've done so far, and add your feedback on what I should do, but just let me know what you guys think!

C&C Welcome (of course...)

Well, seeing as in it looks good already, it should be awesome! The sherman is great, the tank treads are very well done. I like what you've done with the british helmets, they look good! So far, good job.

Nice faction it will look great when it is done. I have to say the British 2nd Airborne Infantry Section looks the Japs with the hats. Are you going to make a stop motion with them?

The modified knight helmets look good! One thing though, try and sand off all the details, it'll look more accurate.

I would actually leave the stuff on the helms. Cause the helms would have been held together with rivets and the helms right now look like they are held together with rivets.

I think the jeep looks great! Love the use of those hats.

Hey, these turn out really nice! The Infantry look great and I can't wait to see them with weapons!

Wow Pizzamovies, those look awesome, can't wait to see them in stopmotion, are those all actual lego designs or are some of them decals?

Cool! But, I think it is kind of odd how the Americans have three belts.

Since when did the SAS wear Bodie Helmets ? If I have to reccomend a technique for berets, use republic red 1x1 tiles .

Who said they were SAS? They're british infantry and THEY used Brodie Helmets...plenty of footage in the "World At War" 40 hour documentary to prove so...

@Vulcan: Yes, those are all LEGO designs... I got them off BrickLink.

I just didn't ever think that AIRBORNE infantry used those. They don't even seem practical for that type of operation .

It's an INFANTRY section, but even so, the entire british army in WWII (barring commandos) used those helmets, in World At War, it showed british airborne using those helmets while jumping, even if the helmet gets in the way...

The Japanese, when the British where those hats they look like the Japanese. Japanese like that big round flat hats. Are you going to make some airplanes?
The tank should use these tracksthey would look better.

Oh... Well that's the kind of helms the brits used... And no I'm not going to make planes.


I would use those treads but I would have to make two layers of gears and wheels on both sides, and I don't have enough for that, and without them, the treads fall off, so I'm using the smaller treads.

That Sherman is REALLY blocky. Try looking at BrickMania's model. Or you can purchase one of his, but that defeats the purpose...

Here is a tip for your stop motion. WW2 had lots of tanks not one or two in you movie but like five.

Mazz, I don't think that one faction used five types of basic tanks.

First of all, do you have ANY IDEA how much money I'd have to spend on pieces to get that many tanks! And second, WWII had tens of thousands upon thousands of tanks, and in companies or platoons they had one to a few tanks for fire support, and that's what I have here.
