Brickpocalypse- The Antidote Empty Brickpocalypse- The Antidote

Post by Darman Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:11 pm

I was inspired by TheMissingPiece's Song Moc titled "The Boulevard of Broken Dreams" to make my own. The song is called "The Antidote" by "Story of the Year". So without further ado here it is.

Brickpocalypse- The Antidote 4818816051_d18a8bd913

Now the damage has been done
And this machine has begun on a path of destruction
We need the medicine
To reverse what's been done
Before this disease has destroyed everything we know
Everything we know!

" Its the year 2077, after the war a strange mechanical monster was released on humanity. We do not know what it is but it is unstoppable, bullets just bounce off its thick armor and its shields absorb RPGS like a rock thrown by a child. Fellow survivors call it "The Disease", it ravages our world and nothing seems to stop it."

All we need is a reason (all we need is a reason)
All we need is right here inside us all

Brickpocalypse- The Antidote 4818817373_416562e177

With our weapons drawn and all our resources gone
We're facing extinction
The only antidote consists of blood, sweat, and hope
And a blueprint to save us from all that we've become
All that we've become!

"Its consuming our people and The Disease is destroying everything left to allow our survival. Our Water, Food, and shelters. We think there has to be a weakness a way to destroy this monstrosity, but in the mean time we can only hope for a blueprint to save us all."

All we need is a reason (all we need is a reason)
All we need is right here inside us all
All we need is a reason (all we need is a reason)
All we need is right here inside us
Here inside us all!

Brickpocalypse- The Antidote 4819440844_0966eb72d8

Now the gears they will fail to turn
As the lights go out
And the sun will be all that burns on our way down
(On our way down)
But right now we have to understand the problem
And overcome!

" Our Power Plant was destroyed, it was built 5 years after the apocalypse by a group of 20 scientists. The lights of our city are failing to turn on, were dying falling into the pits of hell. We think we may have found the place were "The Disease" was created we may find something that can help us there"

Brickpocalypse- The Antidote 4818820101_e65ff6c9de

So arm yourself
You'll mind your gun
It's time to learn
Accept what's done, and yeah
Repair this destruction!

"Its done, "The Disease" is destroyed. Our search of its place of creation proved useful, we found a pair of blue prints that showed a single weak point on "The Disease". We managed to destroy it and now we just have to pick up the pieces and restore our post-apocalyptic society.
- Authoritarian Darman, along with Dutch and Hazard."

I highly encourage you to check out the Set. I'd also appreciate it if you listened to the song while reading this.

Very nice. The song goes perfectly with the apocalypse. The MOC itself is pretty good too. Win! Smile

I second that.

I second that too. Except the antenna that's two times its size.

Small, simple, detailed. Nice job! Smile

Thanks for all the replies, I'm rather hesitant about removing the antenna though, should I replace it with something else or leave it as a stud?

A shorter antenna maybe? Like one of those poles you used for a sign in this MOC.

As I understand it, the bot is evil. So I think it's just me, but the blue piece makes me associate it with good. /facepalm me if I'm being stupid.

I see you point but here's my philosophy on the colors associating good with evil. Even in the most innocent of things good and evil should never be portrayed as black and white, the lines blurred as are the motivations behind it. The people who created this may have viewed there motivations as good and that is why they created it. Think about this as well, people had to go to great measures to destroy this thing, perhaps even killing innocents or leaving people behind, why are they not portrayed in Red? They aren't portrayed in read or a equally dark color because they believe there motivations are justified and "The Diseases" creators aren't justified in there reasons. When it comes down to it you ultimately decide if your motivations are right or wrong, not others but you. I hope that cleared things up.

Even in Star Wars, the colors are messed up. If red is bad, and green is good, then why does the Empire shoot green lazers and the Alliance shoot red lazers?

Oh and to answer your question. I personally think that colors should NEVER be associated with good or evil as there is sometimes no difference. There is NO good or evil just different opinions and points of view. Red isn't bad an green isn't good, that is because no color is good or evil because there is NO good or evil.

I agree. The "Bad Guy" from anyone's point of view is the "Bad Guy" to the first "Bad Guy" that they think is the "Bad Guy."(I think I just pulled an 80-0.) To be solid, The Empire is the Bad Guy to the Rebels, and the Rebels are the Bad Guy to the Empire.
