Jungle Recon Mission
My entry in the CCC Training Challenge
Commander Streak is ordered to recon an area near a new sep base on a jungle planet. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad uses an old abandoned tunnel to move in undetected.
"As they moved though the ancient tunnel, the tiles cracked and crumbled under their feet, revealing dirt and weeds."

Re: Jungle Recon Mission
Simpy excellent, I love the foliage, the dual level feel and the excellent minifigures! I would watch out on the tile border though, because someone is going to cry fowl about the rules and get you disqualified if you don't watch it.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
I've always been a fan of multi-leveled vignettes, and that tree is pretty cool.

Re: Jungle Recon Mission
This looks excelent. Keep up the great building. I also am a fan of the multi level thing too.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
I like how from the side we can see kind of a cross section of the ground, like the grass and the soil and the top of the tunnel. I don't see much use for the edging though I don't think that's really necessary.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
Your custom clones aren't that bad! Well done. I feel you could make the top very lush with foliage though.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
Ya I know, but I've carefully studied the rules regarding this and I think it's fine.Iceman792 wrote:Simpy excellent, I love the foliage, the dual level feel and the excellent minifigures! Thanks, I've always thought single floored vigs tend to be to bland.cjcutrone9 wrote:This looks excelent. Keep up the great building. I also am a fan of the multi level thing too.
Makes it look nicer!Troopa Daisy wrote:I like how from the side we can see kind of a cross section of the ground, like the grass and the soil and the top of the tunnel. I don't see much use for the edging though I don't think that's really necessary.

Re: Jungle Recon Mission
Well, I have to say this is quite a nice little vignette. The foliage could be a bit thicker, but doesn't neccesarily need to be, depending on the look your going for. I think it would look cooler looking more overgrown, but this is still a great build.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
It's really nice. A bit like my kind of MOC. Small, but detailed. Oh and for the airborne troopers: just carefully erase the ''nose'' in the visor and make the ''mouth'' like a BARC trooper. That's what I do. And then of course make those cool \\ things on his helmet.
Re: Jungle Recon Mission
Thanks everyone.
Mhmm? I'm not so sure what you mean, these airborne troopers are made using label decals, not sharpie or paint if that's what you thought. Anyways, these are my old airborne trooper, my new one's look a lot better.253d legion guy wrote: Oh and for the airborne troopers: just carefully erase the ''nose'' in the visor and make the ''mouth'' like a BARC trooper. Re: Jungle Recon Mission
No, I use the same decals, but in blue. And I do the markings on the helmet with a marker (waterproof), because they ain't sellin' those sharpies in the NETHERLANDS!!!!! And man, how much do I hate that fact.
