Hello :)
Hello. I am (I don't know what you call us here) Newbie/New member etc. I just start customizing about a month ago with lots of techniques. I haven't "Upgraded" to decals yet but i hope to soon once my other Lego projects get going up. I am mostly into Star Wars, but i sometimes spread to other themes (Ninjago grabbed me....). I also want to start in the military section of building, but I am very confused on the differences between styles. Example: WWI vs WWII or Vietnam, apoc, etc.. I have about a 65,000 piece collection (Not exact I just guess by weight) and who knows how many figures (at least 500). I am 14 so this collection isn't bad for my age. I think I have a great skill of customizing just haven't really discovered it. I hope this post wasn't too long and made you bored.
BTW I could use some tips to not make a fool of myself on the forums.
EDIT: Just got a Flickr page. Still have to put up pictures. More stuff coming soon!!!
Thanks!

Re: Hello :)
Welcome!
Always good to have new faces
With regards to different military - they're basically styles based on what was actually around during those historic periods during World War 1 and World War 2. Though vast majority of the history is centred around the second world war as they're far more tanks and jeeps which can be built - since it wasn't AS common to have such things in the first world war.
Apoc is basically in a futuristic post-apocalypse world - after some sort of event - all are pretty fun to build in - it depends on what you like to do and what pieces you have.
though it sounds like you're pretty good shape on the latter!

Re: Hello :)
@Rook Yes I am going to try to get one soon. Flickr for some reason has problems for me i hope to get it fixed soon
@Si-Mocs Thanks for the tip. I am going to do my research and hopefully I should bring some nice jeeps at least. I need a lot of treads before I can start the tanks. Figures I will try to work on too. Hum.. Apoc sounds cool can you guys give me some more info? Sorry I know this is really noob-ish, but I am really new to the online Lego community. 80% of my Lego skill if self-taught, so I cant exactly know everything...
Thank you both I have this site pinned to my browser so I should be on/posting a lot

Re: Hello :)
You'll need a yahoo.com email account to sign up for Flickr. It allows a couple of other email service providers but I forget which.

Thanks. That won't be a problem
Re: Hello :)
Welcome to CABG! If you have any questions about Apoc, feel free to send me a PM or just ask it here, since I've done a bit of the theme. And I highly recommend joining Flickr, as it's the best place for a budding "bricker" to get C&C.
Re: Hello :)
Gmail and hotmail I believe. Yeah I would highly recommend Flickr. I started with contacts from my LUG and now I get inspired by the same builders that veterans do. Rook, Tac and Revo turned me on to some good inspiration too at one point or another, so ask around for suggestions of builders that build in a style you want to emulate. Also since your a fellow Texan I can't help but shameless promote BrickFiestaRook wrote:You'll need a yahoo.com email account to sign up for Flickr.
