Wednesday's MOC; Against the Darkness
Today's MOC; a vignette depicting a warrior of purity and light in a battle against darkness. And..surprise!
A poem to go with it:
In the dark and gathering gloom,
Standing against his final doom
There was a man all clothed in white,
Around his feet; there fell a bright light.
A silver blade, a gleaming shield,
Nay - this mighty man would not yield.
This one man held his position,
The man stepped forward with caution.
Holy sword wielded high aloft,
A sickened smell started to waft,
His shining shield ready to block,
The gathered dark started to talk.
Fool, child: you know you cannot win,
Know who I am, my name is Sin
And you? You are just one weak man.
Forever chained; forever damned.
The herald of dark now appeared.
Its glowing eye; the man was seared,
Four grim claws, blackened like the ash.
It moved; as if it was to slash.
But the mighty man began to talk,
In the darkness, I shall now walk,
I am the stars, I am the light,
And around me; a patch of white.
And you, oh mighty one named Sin,
In the end only I shall win,
My mighty blade will cut you down,
By the end of day; at sundown.
And now the darkness shrieked again,
Angered and raging was he then,
Sin now appeared, black; glowing red,
Twisted, dark, like something long dead.
Four sceptres rested in its claws,
But no – the darkness had no jaws,
Instead, a single red eye flashed,
Four black tentacles writhed and thrashed.
The man gave a cry, and charged it,
He moved towards it, bit by bit.
The silver sword now stabbed forward,
Sin also struck; without a word.
As the mighty man hacked and slashed,
Two mighty forces; and they clashed.
Until finally, light struck hard,
The terrible darkness was charred.
Sin fell back, away from the light,
It was over; the mighty fight.
The warrior yelled his war cry,
Watching as the dark slowly died.
Okay, after that pathetic attempt at poetry, I think some actual pictures are in order.

It's Axel...not Axle...
Thanks again everyone, and by the way, just because there's a new MOC everyday, it doesn't mean you can't comment on the old ones, so go crazy!

Re: Wednesday's MOC; Against the Darkness
Axel, that was definitely not a pathetic attempt at poetry. You obviously spent a lot of time on it, and it turned out beautifully. I loved the moc that went with it, and how the knight was in the light, and the creature was in the darkness. Awesome work, great incorperation of poetry again.

Heh, I try my best at that sort of stuff.
That was the look I was going for; the embodiement of light versus the embodiement of darkness. Abstract-ish, but very poetic. Hence the poem.
Thanks for the great reviews everyone!

Re: Wednesday's MOC; Against the Darkness
I'd just like to add, this MOC was one of the ones in the poll for Portal page. Obviously it can't compete with the others, but still an honour!
