Diamond Class Cruiser
Databank: The Diamond Class Cruiser was built by the Commerce Guild, and was used as a transport. Eventually, they began seeing action in the war. There were atleast three Diamonds participating in the Battle oover Metalorn.

Simple, but effective. What about adding some detail?

I'll add some turrets. But there's not much I can do to this without giving away the sleekness.

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
Nice design! These are in my top favourite CIS ships and I like how you made them.
Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
But why would the Republic have diamond class cruisers?

Oh my... ! This has to be the weakest MOC ever posted on the CABG. Everything in my being says DELETE! You seriously need to try to put more then 7&5 bricks together and call it a MOC.

Yea. That's kinda what I was thinking but I didn't say it because I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but Rook's Canadian and they have more Grizzly bears than us, so he can say it.
But really, I agree. If you have a post about a tiny mini, that's not good, but if you have a whole topic on several of them, that's alright.

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
I think this deserves to be made significantly larger. I must admit that when I first saw your MOC I didn't recognize it for what it was up until DP posted the pic.
The width of a TIE Crawler would do it justice, methinks...

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
Coulda sworn I already posted here, but evidently not.
Firstly, Rook, do you really think that's appropriate? Seriously? You're a MOD here, which means you're meant to be a role model for the younger and more impressionable forum goers. And here you are, threatening to delete a topic becasue you think that the guy isn't a very good MOCcer and that his MOC is too small. I agree, it's rather simple and could use some work, but you say that, and hope he takes it on board. 5-7 pieces doesn't make it a MOC? What? Microscale can be about using as few pieces as possible. And while this might be very simple, he's captured the basic idea well. And while it might be more correct of me to address my greviances with a staff member via the PM function, I feel that this complaint should be made in public, to show that I don't agree with your verdict on his MOC. Reply as you see fit, via PM, or not at all, I don't mind. I just had to stand up for this chap against you, because your post is really not on. Had any other member done that, assuming a staff member was on, there would have been trouble, or at least I hope so. Rant over.
OK, on to criticising the MOC itself. As has been said by many, it's rather simple, although in your defence it is concise and accurate at this scale. Maybe you could go for a larger scale? Of course, then it might ruin the scale of all the other micro ships you posted, which wouldn't be much good either. So yes, I'd rather like this expanded and made on a greater scale, but if that can't be done then fine.

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
You could bulk it up. And J4ke, I must disagree. Micro's not about using the least amount of pieces, it's about packing in as much detail wile still keeping it small.

Dum de dum dum, dum de dum! Indiana J4ke comes to the rescue!
Why am I slapping my head every time I read your posts? 'oh:
And I agree with Zeph as well. Keeping it small, but not making it too small so that it would lose any resemblance of the actual thing.

True indeed, that's why I didn't say ALWAYS, just sometimes...

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
Hmm, does anyone know how up to scale it is to a Recusant? If so, I need to make it bigger. you'll be seeing the updated version in BoM Pll, but Pl has the old one.

Re: Diamond Class Cruiser
Yup, but Reto's best at UCS stuff, including some really nifty Clone Wars sets, if memory serves...
But anyway, one might say that we're wondering a bit too far off-topic?
