Entry for OH NO! Contest - Far Trooper Deployment
Here is my one entry picture to the OH NO! Contest:
This is my first experiment with perspective...the micro island is supposed to seem like it is thousands of feet below the gunship. How do you think I fared with that? This thread is being made so I can get replies about my experiment with perspective...how can I improve, what should be done, etc.
Sorry, no gallery link. Only other pictures taken were from different angles.
With scouting out a large island on a CIS controlled planet as their objective, two 222nd Legion FAR troopers jump out of a Larty from 50 Thousand Feet with Extended Flight Packs...or without...

You should probably put the gunship more close to the island...

Oppisite. Make it farther away.
Re: Entry for OH NO! Contest - Far Trooper Deployment
It looks good, the only problem for me is the the white paper in the background, I think it'll look better with blue paper.
Re: Entry for OH NO! Contest - Far Trooper Deployment
Gah that's what my dad said Jens! Yea I just wanted to blind out the backround, so I used the normal white.

Yes, what I said, and raise up the clouds so they're closer to the gunship to show almost 3D perspective.
And that other thing I said in that other topic.

NICE! I love the use of forced perspective, and the "red Light" in the Gunship is a great touch, FANTASTIC WORK CC!!!

I think that is just light going through the white pieces...
Re: Entry for OH NO! Contest - Far Trooper Deployment
That looks pretty good. But the forgotten extended flight pack...priceless!

The backround is grey and the sky isn`t so I thick you should take another picture but with blue backround so it looks more realistick.

Heh, I can imagine him going splat. If you were to do this for a comic I'd just edit the background, I can show you how maybe if you want.

I love him >>>
Actually the red light is intended...I used a special LED...I had to recruit someone to hold it from the other side of the blind...I wouldn't let something that cool go undone by me...thank you very much.pdragon27 wrote:astoriabluelegos wrote:NICE! Actually, I was testing with stuff like that only a few days ago! For Christmas, I got a pen with a detachable LED light that had two modes - white and red. I stuck it in my newly built gunship, and thought about using that same light in the gunship for a comic.

I say the perspective was okay, but move the gunship up a bit further.

You never fail to impress me CC! You can pull off the same effects of a GIMPer's flawlessly! My only complaints are the facts that, as some have said before, it doesn't look as though he's jumping from many miles up, and the MOC itself is very unsubstantial. It's a gunship (again, with wicked cool lighting), and a miniature-scale island .
