The Battle of Mygeeto
Well, nearly a month after finishing my Mygeeto moc, I've finally recieved my bricklink order for my Galactic Marine torsos, as well as gotten this image hosting service to work. The moc was originally created for the Oh No contest but unfortunately my bricklink order to complete some of my Marines came late so I had just one, and also the image hosting service didn't work... crippling my entry. Since then I've added some more marines and changed the basic layout slightly. I've waited a long time to try a Mygeeto moc because it's a pretty daunting and detail oriented project that requires a lot of attention to destruction and rubbish. This moc is actually a prototype for a much larger one I hope to complete by the summer for Brickworld- hopefully it'll include an UT-AT I'm working on now too. So without further ado I give you a 100% purist Mygeeto moc.
Front shot of the layout. I based my design off still frames of Mygeeto during Order 66 in Episode III.
Detail of the war-torn hole in the bridge.
An engine, piece of a vehicle, etc that has either crashed or exploded and carved into the bridge.
Back shot of the uplifted ground on the bridge by the engine. I was very pleased with the texture and uplifted feel I created. The scaring/greebling of where it scraped on the ground looked cool too I thought.
Side shot.
Overview of the moc with the figs.
Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi leading Commander Bacarra and his Galactic Marines through the battle-scared bridge.
"Come on!"
Bacarra and the Marines.
Bacarra, Mundi, and a Marine.
The droids continue to fight behind Mundi.
Closer shot of the SBD and B1 Battle Droid. The SBD fires a shot and the B1 Battle Droid gets hit in the torso with a shot fired by a Marine. This technique is very cool and kudos to whoever created it.
Back shots of the battle.
Side shot of the destroyed bridge and battle.
Back shot of the moc. The two 'streetlight' fixtures aren't perfect but they're pretty stable. Hopefully I'll find a better solution in V2
A couple long shots of the battle.
My purist Commander Bacarra. Notice the gun design- I thought this looked more like a DC Blaster.
Purist Ki-Adi-Mundi, kudos to Philip Morgan for the ingenious plume hair idea.
My Purist Galactic Marine- I have about 12 of these babies that I might be willing to sell. Anyone interested?

Yes! TB is very right about this vig. I love it. Way better then the random one I am building right now. I like your GMs very nice. Where did you get the dark red body though? I've been looking for one and I can't find any.

Re: The Battle of Mygeeto
Thanks for the comments so far guys! I was hoping you'd enjoy it! I got some of the pieces off of bricklink for those of you who asked. I'm going to open a new thread in the BST Thread about the Galactic Marines. They'll likely run $12.99, but definitely nothing over $14.99 USD.
Re: The Battle of Mygeeto
WOW Legorev! First you beat me to Felucia, and NOW Mygeeto! Are you ASKING for trouble! In all seriousness though, fantastic work as usual dude, the level of detail is astounding!

Thanks ABL! I'm very proud of it too, but it's still pretty small. As I said expect a larger version in the summer! I'd love to see you whip up Felucia and Mygeeto mocs, it's always great to see other builders takes on planets and scenery to learn new techniques.
Re: The Battle of Mygeeto
Finally you get this up , anyways it is fantastic mocing as always (especially the epic greebling), and I <3 it! I wish you were my dad

As always fantastic! The destruction is great, as is your proof that purists can still be awesome! I love the feel of the scene. The broken part of the bridge greebs are fantastic, as is the lamp, and I like the way you built in some of the wreackage! great job man!
Re: The Battle of Mygeeto
