289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Well, I decided to make an airborne trooper for my legion. Enough said.
This is a WIP because I want some tips for making the helmet better.
Sorry for bad photography.
C&C Welcome.

First tip: Where's the mouth?

Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
This airborne trooper looks quite unique with a backwards body and half a clone visor. So it looks quite good. But as a opinion add some slanted red lines heading towards the visor to make it look more like a airborne trooper.
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Well I would. . .But I don't have the ultra fine tip Sharpie in Red.
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Oh yeah I would just like to ask one question. How did you get rid of the bottom half of the visor?
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Eraser I'll bet. I've seen several endorsements of such a tool used in removing printing from bricks.

Well, I used a pencil eraser and just put a lot of pressure and rubbed for about 15 minitues.

Brasso probably...
It needs some clay. Make a mouthpiece like Mike Zulu did with his.

His mouthpiece is just decaled on. . .I want a pic of a clay one. . .
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
So what do you need exactly? As in do you need a close up on a real airborne troopers helmet?
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Well then here is a close up on a figurine airborne trooper. Hope that it helps

Now that would be hard to find. Well better get started searching.
Edit: I've been searching for a while and this clay mouthpiece is impossible to find.

Looks nice! I like the helmet. How did you do that with the mouth? Cant wait to see the final product.
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see that. And you used just a normal pencil eraser?CT44 wrote:I already stated that. . .But I used an eraser.
Re: 289th Airborne trooper *WIP*
That's cool. I may have to try that tomorrow. Thanks man.CT44 wrote:Yep, you just have to put a lot of pressure and rub for a while.
