Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
Well, The Blue Shadow Virus are having a little moc-off for fun, and he decided that each of us should build of the following drones from the game Frontlines Warfare: a MQ38 Hunter, an AQ431 Assault Drone, or an AQ432 Mortar Drone. If you have no idea what this game is, or what the drones look like (as I had no clue when entering this contest please check out This link to the drones. I built the first drone, the MQ38 Hunter. We were also to build the drones no higher than 1 standard minifig.
Angled front shot. Yes I used stickers, but they are just cut out 'extras' on the official lego stickers so technically it's not modding! Ha ha modders.
Front shot of the drone.
Top shot of the drone.
As you can see the rotators can be folded down before use in a combat environment. I read this on the info so I tried to make it as detailed and playable as possible at what appeared to be the correct scale.
Side shot rotators up and online.
Side shot rotators folded down.
Side top shot of the drone.
The rotators can also be folded forwards (and backwards) to help ease travel in restricted airspace urban combat environments.
For those of you who would like to see an up close of the tail and tail rotor.
When editing these pictures I realized that I had forgot to snap a picture of the drone next to a minifig to prove it's height. But you can probably see clearly already that it is not taller than a minifig. I'll make a Frontlines War soldier to go along with the drone and post it up tomorrow.

D@mn.
Nice, the wrench/clip idea is pretty nice, as well as the usage of a rifle. Typical Legorev, awesome in small quantities.

I'll be honest, this was quite tough since I'm not familiar with the game and cramming the details into a scaled size was hard. If I had a round bar like 1x4 piece in dark bley I'd probably use that instead of the gun just because that little bar doesn't actually exist there on the actual drone. Whatever, build with what you have I always say, and if not turn to BL!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
Neat little MOC. I haven't played the game either but looking at the pictures and comparing them to this you did an excellent job as usual. The rifle use was very smart. I've never wanted or needed to build any miniature MOC's but this gives me inspiration!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
That rotor technique is awesome. Not a bad use of the shotgun either...

Well, it looks really good, even if it does use illegal connections. JK, I'm starting to use a lot of illegal connections too! They are just so much more fun!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
Wow, even though it is small, you did it too perfection. Everything turned out great and I really like the top!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
Wow, that looks like the real thing. The front is a bit to plain for me. The "end part" is to skinny, but blame the people who thought of the idea for this game. Everything else, is just awesome!! Wonderfull, amazing, and super awesome job!!!

That's just wicked! I love the propellers, and the bar going back to the back propellers...
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
That rifle pose is ingenious; question though: If this is a 'build off' where is the competition?

Yep it's sturdy! Pdragon- sometimes illegal connections are fun and sturdy!
Blue Virus- Can't wait man. We'll open a poll then!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
You bet they are! I really love this. You should totally make some more drone thingies...

I might try one or two later, but they'll be a bit of a challenge at minifig scale
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
I love the use of the old gun. Can we see a reference pic?

The AQ431 Drone were a rolling drone, it could almost roll in everything.
The AQ431 were made in 2000, and has just come out on the market, imagine when you are going around a corner, suddenly you will see the AQ431 in front of you, and you do not know what it is.
Front shot.
Side shot.
Top shot.
Random shot.
I don't have much experience with the game either, but it was fun to build.

Yes, very much agreed! Great work Blue Shadow! Now open up your own thread for your vehicle, I'll pull down the pictures and set up a poll!
Re: Frontlines Warfare: MQ38 Hunter
LegoRev, ShadowBlueVirus isn't a GMember, he can't open up a thread.
Anyway, I like them both. But Revo's more. You'll be getting my vote.
You're just all over my case today! I forgot about that. I'll take it up with him in a PM.
