Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
Bounty Hunter: Nyo Zen
Nyo Zen is the daughter of Nyron Zen, head of ZenTech, a corporation that separated from InCom and specialized in weapon- and starship development.
Nyo left the safe and luxurious environment she was born in and chose to the life of a bounty hunter. She wasn’t interested in credits, her sole allure centered on the thrill of hunting and killing the most dangerous scum in the galaxy.
What started as some sort of amusement soon became keen obsession, as Nyo discovered that she was good in what she did.
Trained in martial arts of dozen different worlds, equipped with the finest custom weapons (two unique light blasters and a vibro blade) and gifted with an exceptional intellect, the biggest obstacles the young bounty hunter has to face are her own arrogance and overconfidence.
Ship: Modified ‘Herald Class’ Corellian Shuttle “The Artemis”
The Artemis is a heavily modified shuttle of the ‘Herald Class’. Though it definitely lacks elegance, Nyo provided the Artemis with extra armor and weaponry (two dual and one quad laser cannon at the sides, one ion cannon and a tractor beamer at the front) and strong engines to keep manoeuvrability. High end sensor tech and a ray shielded prisoner compartment in the back complete the equipment.
So, the color choice seems a little bit boring, but I can only use brown and grey parts when I need more than four wedges (thanks to the Wookie sets and the B-Wing ).
Still, it was fun to build this ship this afternoon, and I hope you like the outcome. Maybe I enter another one, just for the heck of it.
Cheers!

That is one of the best ships I have ever seen! The detail and structure is ALL well made, brilliant purist bounty hunter, and the story is also a good addition. Nice work!
Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
That...is awesome! I love the ship, the colour scheme, her little 'office', her overall (makes me want to get that hair even more), the gold pistols, everything! Great job Vimes! Once again, you've got my vote (Well, that is, if I could...)
Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
The fact that there's an inside made it for me.
Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
Can you say... Heck yea!!! This ship has the most amazing exterior design, and interior! Most of the ships I think we'll get lack an interior but this ship has a brilliant one! Great work!

Do you save all your pictures, then upload them at the right moment?
It looks outstanding, the interior, your Bounty Hunter looks unique, the cannons, the tiles on top, maybe the wings could be flattened out a bit more, but this is amazing.

It is pretty good! BUT if the prisoner were to escape they could grab the sower and kill the bounty hunter!
EDIT: the laser bars!

This is a awesome MOC!!! I love the shape the detail on the inside and the over all look of it. Sir I think you have a very good chance of winning.

Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
Thanks for the nice feedback so far! I'm glad that my MOC catches on.
I'm glad you like the design, but there is nothing special with the interior (I just put tiles on the floor, that's all).
And I have not won this contest. This contest isn't over. I would be disappointed if there were no more entries (but I don't think so). I'm not that constrained in winning the contest. I'm more interested to see cool stuff and inspiring MOCs (especially within this months theme - I like bounty hunters!).
Remember last month guild build? Legorevolution posted his amazing entry at the very end and deservedly won the contest. I have a feeling that it will happen again...
At the end, I imagined Nyo to be arrogant and overconfident so that someone else could teach her some humility.
Thanks for the interest.
Cheers!

Maybe it is Nyo's way to furthermore taunt and challenge the prisoner to try something stupid (arrogance and overconfidence).435thlegion wrote:...BUT if the prisoner were to escape they could grab the sower and kill the bounty hunter!...
I showed the ship and the fig to my six year old nephew yesterday, and he despises my decision to chose a girl bounty hunter (spoken in a disgusted sounding voice).Sialboats wrote:...and not to mention the sexiness (both metaphorically and literally ) of the fig!...

That's nice! I'm not a big fan of the fig but the ship is really cool!

Thanks!
I think Sialboat created the coolest background story and minifig of all entries so far. At first I had a gloomy, stealthy type of bounty hunter in mind, but after Sialboats A.S.K. agent my version would have appeared as a bad copy. So I decided to create something more flashy. Maybe I overdid it.
By the way, the final ship design was a reaction to wrecks' entry.
The first shape for the ship I came up with would have resembled wrecks' ship (I planned to use the same windscreen and then build a shape around it similar to Zam Wessel's speeder in Episode II). When I saw wrecks' solid and martial version, I discarded my plans, because I didn't want to steal the idea.
When I finally found some time to start building for this contest yesterday, I shot the pics and posted them here as soon as possible after I finished the build - before another member could submit something similar.
This contest is still up in the air.
As I took inspiration out of the entries of my fellow guild members, other participants might invent something cool because of my entry, and that's what I'm eagerly anticipating...

'the contest is still up in the air'
Bah, you've got my vote.
I particularly like how the sides fit on, and how the 'roof' folds down so neatly.

Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
When does the Gbuild start?
I've been at the KC pool in dallas since 5:00 to 9:00 so I haven't been on all day.

Re: Nyo Zen & the Artemis (Bounty Hunter GBuild Entry)
It already started?
But sorry, you're not even in the Guild (Yet ), but if you think you have a good chance of getting in, get started on a Bounty Hunter.

This ship is great! It has much detail and a great structure. Although I do think you should work on the fig a little. Overall you did good job!

Wow, really am digging that ship, the lines and the interior are perfect. Plus that is an ingenious way to make a bounty hunter, it looks amazing, nice work.
