Maybe the revival of a GIMP 5 is in order? Well, maybe not all 5. Since Sial was KIA, Alpha is completely AWOL, I think Thunder uses Photo-shop now, and INH is only somewhat active...

But still.

This is a really simply quick HUD test inspired by the brilliant video work of Thunder_Blade and the GIMP skills of Sialboats.



Sometimes your standard bucket on the head technique won't cut it. The HUD X67 Blast Tech system will do the job right at a low cost. Blur. Gaussian (am I spelling that right?) blur or something.

I'm pretty sure you spelled that right and yes that is what I used.

Its not bad, but the blur is overkill.

See, your blur feels like a blur, not an actual light.

Also, you should filter what the actual inside looks like, right now it looks like what it really looks like, but most HUDs have a color tint.

What would have been cool, is sharp blue, with yellow under it, which you blur.

That's just given me an idea though...
