Re: Redone AT-RT
It's incredible. The colring is awesome, I love the feet, and legs, and the seat is great. You always pull off great parts usage, and a wonderful creation.

I don't bother with scale, you always end up getting it wrong, making it look too much like another person's, or it's too flimsy.

Commanderblueleader96 wrote:Hey DY, I am hearing a lot of people commenting on how big the front is. Did you make it that big for support reasons? And By that I mean that without the front being that big, the entire MOC wouldn't work.
No I didn't make it like that on purpose... Another slightly smaller one is coming with more accurate... And maybe small feet and a smaller body. But beware, size was traded for detail.
@Zeph, thanks ma- I mean it. Glad to have you aboard again!
@Alph, Scale was actually what my goal was. It's making me think harder about everything to do with the build. one little change makes you have to change the whole darn walker. Anyways, a more flimsy and more to scale At-Rt coming soon...
Re: Redone AT-RT
As a walker builder myself I know how hard they can be, but you pulled it of great!
I don't care what anyone else says I thunk those legs are awesome and give it a cute chubby look.
The use of those SBD parts are nice and unique as are the handles. I love all the parts you've used and I personally think this is one of the best I've seen, keep up the good work!

Re: Redone AT-RT
Longer Legs are good. I spy a chicken foot! The gun is nicely dun although the light being just a stud looks a bit bad. Other than the light it looks pretty good. *cough*chickenfoot!*cough*

But that's how they are... They aren't that huge really....
Yeah I know but I like LEGO's.

Uh... No problem, I'm glad you like it that much!
Re: Redone AT-RT
It looks much better. I love the updated feet, and the body is more to scale.
Good work!

Re: Redone AT-RT
V2 pwnz! The updated one is quite better, and quite frankly, the best LEGO render of an ATRT I've seen!
Re: Redone AT-RT
I like version one alot better DY. This one just doesn't speak AT-RT to me for various reasons. Mainly the following:
The legs look a bit weird. I really don't like how, to me, they look like tree roots.
The feet look like the feet of an animal not a walker.
The head looks a bit too blocky and I don't like the black gun with all of the gray and green.
Other then that I think it is a well built MOC but for the reasons I listed it doesn't speak AT-RT to me.

I see where you're coming from but I personally like pretty much everything you said except the body which I just fixed.

Re: Redone AT-RT
I think your or AT-RT looked fine as a MOC, but as a representation (is that the right word?) of an AT-RT then I have to agree with most people about the legs. Other than that, I think if you named it a U-PAP (for Urban-Personal Assault Platform) it would make some sense because of the larger feet and short legs. Personally as of right now, I liked that design- it was short, stubby (maybe?), and sturdy, even though that's not what an AT-RT is meant to be.
But with your newer design, I think it looks a lot more like an AT-RT. I especially like how you built the legs and feet. I honestly have never seen pistols used as toes. Anyways, amazing!

Re: Redone AT-RT
Why your welcome! Oh, I forgot to mention-what if you switched the clear stud on the front for a 1x1 smooth clear plate (like those on the mini republic gunship cockpits)?

I would do that but I only have those pieces in trans black.
Re: Redone AT-RT
Legs still need to be a lot longer. AT-RT's weren't THAT tiny. Body itself is very good though.

:superoh: *Falls over and has a heart attack.*
*Some time later.*
Now that I'm back from the hospital, they are both great!
The second one looks more like an AT-RT but I like the first one best.
They both show good use of the arm pieces and both of them show how great you are at building!
I feel like making someone happy.

The feet are cool but the cannon looks weird, it looks like a weight.
