Re: New Member Questions Thread
Nothing. If you don't need anything then save your money for when you do.

Just speaking from personal experience... Yes they have a ton of cool stuff... but it is best if you wait till you have an idea in mind for what you want to build or need them for and then order.
This way you know what you want to order.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
Either use an order you made for a project you have in mind or just get a gun/guns that looks cool.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
I think there is a 10$ minimum for the order.
I would recommend adding the U-links to any order. Tac always seemed to make good use of them.

Re: New Member Questions Thread
Sorry this is really off topic-ish, but I've realized that in most mocs with laser weaponry, some dead people are bleeding. Don't the lasers burn people, so the blood is burned to a crisp, and doesn't gush out of someone and they just die? Anyways, what's the best environment for making stop motion and taking pictures? I'm guessing an enclosed are with the same lighting and a background. If I'm correct just say so, Thanks!
Edit: also, isn't one of the new BA guns that people say is an AC8 actually an xm8 carbine? because I play GRAW a lot and I'm sure it looks like an xm8. Yeah sorry for random questions.

LAUGHS* Wow! Finally someone with the question... or realization I have had all along. Yes laser would burn and close all vessels as it cuts through you.
For stop motion you want at least 2-3 sources of light. You want to remove the shadows and if necessary be able to control the direction of the shadow. Lights from directly above and one at a 45 degree angle works best from my studies. But I guess the best people to ask are garet and pizza since they are (I believe) the stop motion pros on here.

I noticed that as well. Will calls it an AC8, so it's probably best to leave it at that.

My recommendation
I would recomend the modern combat pack as it has some sweet guns, the combat shotgun and the awesome pulse rifle. I just recieved my order and was very pleased with it.danester man wrote:What should I buy on BrickArms.com.

Yep total true. I think people enjoy blood and artistic license.

Copy right issues I think.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
Can I post pictures in the Moc feedback topic.
Could you follow the rules first.
That means use a question mark and correct capitalization (MOC, not Moc).
And in case you didn't notice, the first sentence I posted is a question, but without question mark. Annoying, no?
But to answer your question: First read the topic, then start asking question. I think that once you've read it you have your answer.

Because you're not in the guild. Once you join the guild, you'll be able to post topics everywhere. But right now, just post an introduction in the new member area, and then send an application to CloneCommando007, or one of the councilmembers.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
And continue to learn from other's building techniques to better improve yours.
hang in there, I am sure you can make it in.

How can I be a CABG council member?
I want to be in the CABG council so I can access the trades and sales and I can't go there because I'm a new member and I've been here since November.

can you add Lego reviews?Clonecommando007 wrote:Actually the models must be in real bricks, not LDD, for an application. Sorry.
Nice double post. Bye Bye. -R
Re: New Member Questions Thread
You need to become a guild member. Read the FAQ for how.clonearmybuilder332 wrote:I want to be in the CABG council so I can access the trades and sales and I can't go there because I'm a new member and I've been here since November.

No you can't because you've been ban for failure to prevail. -R AKA: Read and follow the rules.

You need to be a guild member to access the trades and sales thread. You become a guild member by sending an application with several of your MOCs to One of the admins/moderaters/Councilmen (Like me) and then we vote on it and decide whether or not to add you.
Or, you could just read the constitution, where it has everything explained and you wouldn't look like a complete idiot asking a question like that.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
I have a question, when I get a "more MOCs" vote on my app, does that mean "You're not hopeless but need a better app", or should I literally send in more MOCs than the usual 3?

Re: New Member Questions Thread
Both it means we want to see three new MOCs. But usually we say STUDY and the resubmit in one month. Which means you need to learn some more building techniques but that we believe you have some of the skills needed. If you get mainly "No" it means you probably have about 3-6 months of regular building and learning before that person thinks you'll be ready.
Re: New Member Questions Thread
Nobody told me to study, but I have been, and I've got a studless MOC and a Micro Starship made from the battle droid BP.
Bringing this up again, but would a squad of robots that use fairly good building skills but nevertheless are half battle droid parts still count as a MOC?

Re: New Member Questions Thread
Well I PM'd you on March 5th. Would have been something like this:
Read! We give you the info. You got to just read it.
Membership: No
Not sure if CC sent you a PM so I will. We have 9 out 9 votes possible for you, but the 6 votes have been no/more MOCs. So study how things are built and work on building some new MOCs. Feel free to resubmit in one month if you wish to try again.

Re: New Member Questions Thread
Why did my avatar change to a yellow clone commander ? Mine used to be a waving sparten with a shotgun. I also noticed it's not in the avatar gallery. So someone please explain.
