Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
Here's a look at the troop transport. It's about 98% complete. I had to run to work so I snapped a quick shot before I left this morning.
Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
I'm sure glad its a WIP Rook, otherwise they'd never get off the ground!
Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
Dude, Rook, I like it. The look of the seats slopping forward looks very cool. And the train magnets on top, which I assume are used to attach it inside the ship, was a smart idea. IS this the only transport that will be in the ship or will there be more?

I've noticed a few questions that are/being answered in the original post. (See Ship Stats)
Update: Got a bit more done during lunch. Greebles around the 8 engine housings.

That speeder looks great. I love how you made the chairs slope. I can't wait to see how the magnets work with it as well.

Cool I'm driving it! Nice, really awesome Rook, the cell block is awesome!
Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
Ha ha I love the comic Rook. I know I'm a bit late. I like the ground speeder, the front is very cool.

Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
Great job so far Rook, looks awesome. The speeder rocks, except the brown seats don't look too good. Perhaps black would fit in better.

Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
I wonder how heavy your Venator is, Rook. Although I wouldn't suggest picking it up and moving it to a weight scale, because there's a 98% chance it would break in half.
But really, that thing is almost, or is about Minifigure scale.

THBBBBT NO.
For the 500th time...The hangar can't fit republic gunships...which a minifig-scale Cruiser should...that's not 'almost' or 'about' minifig scale.
Again, no offense Rook, I know you don't have the pieces for a minifig-scale Cruiser, it just irks me when people underestimate the size.

Imagine if someone made a Venator that could.

When I shred it I can use my kitchen scale to wiegh out the pieces. I'll probably could put on a regular scale but it need at least 2 people to carry it and balance it.

You and your wife, that makes 2 people, no?

I bet we could if we pulled together all the pieces of the guildmembers, plus a few other people.
Yes DP I bet rooks wife will help him...unless it weighs too much and she can't lift it.

Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
She's a trooper, but I don't have a bathroom scale anyways. Besides, if you look in the mirror and you look overweight, underweight, or out of shape you don't need a scale to tell you that you need to do something about it.
Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
UPDATE
Sat back with 2 shots of rum on ice (with a splash of lemon, lime, & sugar) last night and decided to do a little interior remodeling. My original bacta tanks were taking up too much space. So rip rip, trim trim, and move move. Also the power source modules for the engines didn't look right and blocked a nice walkway. Rip rip. The maintenance/cargo sled was too wide and too long. Smash smash, then I rebuilt a smaller version.
Here's a look at troop transport finished and loaded in the rear speeder bay. Note: Detention cell block and barracks are located just above the speeder bay. Whole floor (roof in this picture) sides out for easy access and playablity.
And from the inside looking out.

No the main hanger has the 2 ETA's.

Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
It looks good rook, but does the floor under the speeder slide open so the magnets can drop it down?

Re: Venator WIP: CABG Community Project
Oh yeah, Rook, I forgot to ask you if your Venator has an area with escape pods.

Wisdom. Looking good Doctor. The two Etas in the hangar sounds epic. I am eagerly awaiting the final product.

That speeder looks very cool... I love the rack you made to keep the clones on there.
