Awesome! If someone broke into your house, they would take that! No doubt!

Yeah they'd have trouble hauling that 5-foot creation out of his house without it falling apart

This is brilliant rook if we look back at this in fifty years we will either still be in awe or be laughing are asses off because The Lego Company made the Venator one giant piece.

It only looks small because you have no sense of scale in the picture but you will. You will.

Sorry I've been really busy with family the last few days. They leave tomorrow so stay tuned for the rest of the pictures tomorrow hopefully. Until then, another teaser:
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
Another really nice pic Rook, although were all dying to see the other photos!
Is it just me, or do I see the symbol with all our Legion symbols on the side? It's not in the original pic though.

Not the first time you've said something along those lines, I'll bet.Rook wrote:It only looks small because you have no sense of scale in the picture but you will. You will.

Ok so here's the moment you've all been waiting for...
Meet the Maker:
Rook is an administrator on a forum called Clone Army Builders Guild. The Guild is celebrating its 2nd Anniversary on January 8, 2010. As part of that Rook put has put together a unique community project.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Project:
Part 1: Members posted their SigFig's and most everyone that participated in that part got into the WIP Project via comics/updates and are featured in various ways in the final project.
Part 2: Members tried guessing the end date.
Part 3: Members tried guessing how many pieces it took to make it. (We'll find out as count them when I shred it in early 2010.)
Part 4: Members posted their Legion Logo and these are featured in various ways in the final project.
Part 5: And finally this project was to raise community interest in building in general, and brotherhood for the love of these bricks.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ship Stats
Start date: August 24th, 2009
End date: December 24th, 2009
Length: 224 studs (about 5 feet and 7 inches)
Width: 80
Height: 58
Current estimated number of pieces: +20,000
Number of minifigures: +113
Number of Lego designed items (Speeders, ships, etc.) in ship: 6 -- (2) ETA & (4) speeder bikes
Number of Rook designed items (Speeders, ships, Defense bots, etc.): 13 -- 1 Troop transport, 4 speeder bikes, 4 bots, 2 sleds (Medial & Maintenance), & 2 escape pods.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nose to tail list of what's left as far as final details:
Point Room:
Left side: Bar & Lounge Area
Middle: Throne Room & Emergency Bridge
Right side: Admirals Lounge
Primary Main Hanger:
Left side: Speeder bike storage area
Middle: 1st ETA landing pad
Right side: Speeder bike storage area
Secondary Main Hanger:
Left side: Briefing Room
Middle: 2nd ETA landing pad
Right side: Maintenance Bay
Main Entrances:
Left side:
Middle: Access forward and back
Right side:
Main Cabin:

Middle: Open area
Right side: 1st Area: Medical Speeder/Sled, 2nd Area: Medical Bay, 3rd Area: Engine Room
Tail Section:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally you'll see in the gallery lots more pictures and towards the end on pages 5 & 6 you'll see some oddly plain pictures theses areas that I would liked to done more detail but didn't do to the amount of time this project was taking. Working on a single MOC for 4 months was difficult because during this time I was having tons of new ideas for smaller projects but couldn't do them due to the use of a lot of my bricks in this project.

Well that's it for now I hope you all enjoy it.

Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
Awesome, and I haven't even hit the gallery yet. But why would you scrap it? Why not go on tour with it?
EDIT: Holy ship! I spoke too soon. This thing is just massive and I can't believe all the detail inside. It's also fun looking for sig figs. I knew I should've added mine. Oh well.
MAJOR EDIT QUESTION: Are the two persons coming from yellow starfighter(in front of the Huntresses) the Rookettes? Thank you, I'll take my cookie now.

Wow! That's just amazing Rook. Just amazing! You should send the picture to TLC and see what they think.
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
This is by far my new favorite Rook moc. You really did pack that interior with everything you could. Amazing job as always.
*Looks at pics again*
Edit: What are the power functions for?

Rook, this ship is just amazingly awesome! My favorite part has to be the bridge, the spot for your sigfig to sit, and that beautiful red line down the middle. To Rook's venator!

Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
The first thing that comes to mind is the sheer size of the thing! At this point, mixing different shades of gray doesn't do anything to detract from the overall appearance of the Venator. I like how you incorporated the words 'CABG' and 'Rook' into the ship with the grill tiles. The variety of speeder bikes and turrets (which I assume, are stowed away somewhere in the ship) is also really awesome. But the thing that does it for me would be the amount of controls and greebles you put in. Having all those unreachable controls in the bridge area are obviously impractical, but they just look so cool! Rook, you've accomplished something magnificent in the span of a few months. Bravo!

Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
I spy digital insignias!
Since you're purist, I believe you put the CABG legion logos onto your Venator through the computer, because they don't show up on the picture with you standing beside the Venator.
There really isn't anything negative to say... It's just spectacular! Well done, Rook.

Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
Rook, the interior of the venator is just absolutely amazing, the detail and greebling of all the rooms and areas of the interior is just awesome, this is probably the best moc ever made on the CABG. Am I the one ahead of all those green troopers at the entrance area because that is how you made my sig-fig or am I somewhere else?

By the Holy Stars, the sheer size of this thing is just amazing. The lego venator looks tiny compared to your one. This is by far the best MOC I have ever ever seen.

They made a rule now. People can't be on the FrontPage for more than 40 times. This would make 41.Garet6 wrote:Why in the name of holy frack is this not on the front page? This is too good.
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
WOW!! That is quite a creation. I was wondering... What was the total weight of the Venator class when finished? What did it cost to build the Venator? (In case I might try a large ARC 170) Thanks.
