luke500 wrote:WOW!! That is quite a creation. I was wondering... What was the total weight of the Venator class when finished? What did it cost to build the Venator? (In case I might try a large ARC 170) Thanks.
I picked it up so I'm guessing 40-60 lbs. I'll break it down and measure the breaks using a kitchen scale. I'll also count the bricks but I'm guessing 20,000 pieces +/- 5,000.

Rook how can you scrap this thing after all the work you put into this?

You can scrap a MOC in several different ways. My personal favourites include: Throwing it down the stairs, chucking it out a window or, my personal favourite, hacking to bits with mini chainsaws!
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
I can safely say this is over 9000. In what, I don't know, but it's over 9000.

Love the use of the trans-blue windshields for the windows on the bridge.

Simple my desire to create more things out weighs my desire to let that much Lego sit on a shelf.
For those that want to know she weighed in at 46.75 lbs. I decided not to count the pieces after it took me 7 hours today just disassemble it.
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
I went through the pics again, and I saw power functions. What are they for?

Just the one I believe. It was retractable crane cable in the main hanger. Then there are 3 cranks. Two for opening the main hanger doors and third to rotate the primary ETA.

I agree the ship did not get enough glory. But it is one of the biggest venators I've ever seen.

When I saw the huge pile of bricks I just went...
Ouch.
By the way, the Gallery link isn't working. Try this one.

That looks like it will take a while to sort. I am still in awe of how awesome the ship is, but it is to bad it has been scraped so soon.

You sure don't waste time. It would be a real pain to dust all 5ft of it though. It was cool to watch it progress from wip, to finished product, to parts.
I can't say how EPIC that is...
That I would have to say kicks butt!I don't think I would mess with that.I would like to see a comparison photo to the LEGO set,I bet the LEGO set would be tiny!
Captain Slickfoot out.

Well it's in the gallery. Also note there's a spacebar on most computers, use it.
Re: 88th Legion's CABG Venator
This is amazing. I find that you put the play functions in it stupendous. Bravo.
