Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
Overview (Yeah yeah, I'm missing some of the tree )
My entry for the Tank Contest over at the LCN. a 32x32 Vignette (Or does htis classify as a bignette?) with my Jagdpanther creeping up the hill. As you can probably tell, this takes place in Normandy, france. Newely landed Allied expeditionary forces are hiding behind the fence from the onpassing patrol, while a fallen comrade of theirs, a paratrooper, hangs for the nearby tree.
Eh. Pretty much the same as my original Bocage Project, just bigger. I still like it though Comments are, of course, appreciated. Took a bit to build this thing, and exhausted close to my entire supply of grass pieces.
Overview:
The allies seeking cover behind the barbed wire fence:
The Nazi Patrol:
And the Jagdpanther by itself:
And a link to the set.

Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
Ummm. So much lovely deep grass. Nice job on the tank by the way.
Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
Tank is fantastic! The fence is awesome and the paratrooper in the tree is great. If anyone deserves to win, it's you.

I love WW2 vigs! Nice deep grass and the dead paratrooper is a nice(horrifying) touch.
Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"

I'm not a big WWII person, but I love this moc. I must say that the everything in this moc is great. The dead paratrooper is a nice touch.

Great WWII moc. The paratrooper reminds me of a book I read. Paratroopers were attacking a French town and a paratrooper got stuck onthe church tower or statue, something like that, and now the town has a statue of a paratrooper hanging on the church/statue.

A great MOC! Love the tank and the tree and the surrounding area!
Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
That tank is quite accurate. I'm impressed. The scene surrounding it isn't too shabby either. You have quite the number of flower stems.
Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
Thanks guys!
Possibly the book to the movie, The Longest Day.
Hehe, PaB for the win!

Re: Tank Contest Entry: "Under Cover"
Nice overall. The tank was goodly constructed. Instead of tracks after the tank it should be flattenend grass. The tall grass was a nice touch, and the airborn trooper is good. You should add some wax paper to make the perrahute.
