Rook wrote:I think I might make a 1/2 scale or 3/4 scale version. I've found ships around 100 studs long are pretty cool because they're still small enough that you can actually "play" with them. You swoosh factor. No swooshing the Venator.
Well, you could throw it, but it would only swoosh for a few seconds.
This only works once.
Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
Depends where you are when you throw it.

Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
A minifig scale version of Serenity with fully decorated interior would be a pretty awesome MOC. The Venator Rook finished is incredible, of course, but Serenity is extremely detailed, and having those small details, like the retractable toilet in Mal's room, would be pretty darn shiny. Not to mention the greebles and hidden storage areas in the cargo hold, the two seperate shuttles and Jayne's wall of guns. Obviously I'm rambling, since no one's ever attempted to do that, but it would be cool if someone did.

Right now I am working a huge moc of a battle scene. There will be a bombed At-te falling of an edge, a droid base, small vehicles and custom clones. I got the idea from the Teth scene in the clone wars movie. It will take up around 3-4 feet of space.

Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
I am working on a couple of films right now (Lego stopmotion). One is a WWII film, another is a Star Wars film, and the last is a "secret project".
Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
Very cool. Sounds like Garet6 might have a new rival.

I'm working on a stop motion.(planning it, and building it) And a Endor Republic Outpost, it will be in the movie.
Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
I'm attempting to build a MOC on a 32x32 stud baseplate with a road/bridge, a HALO Warthog, grunts, and other HALO stuff that I hope to send to an Admin with 2 other creations to get into the guild. Eventually.

Current projects
Well recently I scrapped my collectors edition death star (the big one) and I am building it into my own custom 110 legion flagship. It is going to be playable, hold guys and have a speeder bike bay. Also it may hold escape pods or a fighter. Final length is probably about 75 cm long. I need advice on the side plating though, there is a small 1 cm gap between the floor plating and wall plating, any advice ?

Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
Zodiac Killer meets Alphabet MOCer!
VS.
VS.
So after some long thoughts about some new creative themes I've decided to be come the Zodiac
Some of you may remember the "Bullship Contest". Being a Taurus I've often enjoyed the sign of the bull and used it many art projects. Now I'm taking that old idea/theme and expanding it into my long term Lego project.
The Zodiac Star Fighters
At least monthly (maybe faster or maybe slower) I'm going to attempt to build a snub fighter based on that month's Zodiac symbol or character. Each fighter will hopefully have subtle hints of its astrological symbol. So I've got 7 days left for Capricorn (ends January 20) it'll be late probably but by February 19 (Aquarius), I hope to be on track for the rest of the year. Depending on my free time I may speed ahead with the project or might take me the whole year (hopefully not).
Re: What are your ideas for future/long term projects?
So Rook's a murderer from the Sixties.
Can't say I'm surprised.
