Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
It will be in the CW section.MarkCreationsInc wrote:When your done are you gonna post it in here or in Clone Wars?
Nope, it's just part of the side.EliteShadowTrooper wrote:Were you trying to make a "bubble turret" like on the gunship?
@-Thanks for the comments everyone! Progress has been slow, but there will be an update soon!

R.E Republic light cruiser WIP.
Looks good so far. I want your/anyones advice. Do you know those connecty kind of pieces, as seen in the new clone walker battle pack will they work for a Venator or a tantive IV kind of ship?

I would say it depends on the frame for the ship.
@-I will update soon, I just haven't had time too.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
Nice Knight! I think if it is half as good as rooks venator, it could be a candidate for MOC of the month. Like I said before, brilliant

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
Wow, this is gonna be cool.
Keep it up Knight. Are you planning to have an interior on the bridge, cause it looks pretty small from the picture.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
This is very nice so far although I think that it should be more angled downwards from the back to front.
Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
EPIC dude! Nice job! It is extremely detailed but I can't wait to see it finished!
Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
It is looking great so far, it could use some grebbles but I'm assuming you want to work on the basic structure first. Overall quite a outstanding job knight.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
Yes I do, once the plates are on it will look bigger.bl*c wrote: Are you planning to have an interior on the bridge, cause it looks pretty small from the picture.
I can't fix that since the front needs to be high for an interior.Troopa Daisy wrote:This is very nice so far although I think that it should be more angled downwards from the back to front.
On starwars.wiki.com the ship is more smooth on the sides, with some slopes, but the batteries will be greebled. But yes I do want to get the shape down before details.Darman-C19 wrote:It is looking great so far, it could use some grebbles but I'm assuming you want to work on the basic structure first. Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
I think it's pretty dang awesome, if I were making it I would make it a little bit less beefy, anyway great job so far! Also are you going to cover up the technic stuff?

Yep, I just haven't gotten to that yet.
Progress update! The exterior plating is about 90% done, and the sides are about 70% done. Once I finish the sides I will move onto the bridge, then the interior, and save the rear/engines for last.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
I still don't understand how you can be working on this, and still posting things like the Felucia MOC at the same time!
Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
Hey The Ruling One, Im working something like that just not nearly that big. My only problem is what plates do you use to cover the floor with. Mine slants to a point and I need a few ideas so I can order them from bricklink. If you can Pm thanks

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
Build a Techinc frame, or "skeleton" first, then apply the pates or armor.cloneman10 wrote:Hey The Ruling One, Im working something like that just not nearly that big. This is looking really good, I can't wait to see it once it's completed. Though I'm not quite sure I like all the white. =S
Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
It's simple, I mutlitask. My main project is this, but Felucia was just a small side project.fithboy wrote:I still don't understand how you can be working on this, and still posting things like the Felucia MOC at the same time!

Like FireHawk said, first build the frame, and then add to it. I would also read Rook's art and design 101 (building big).
@-Thanks for all the comments everyone. The plan has switched a bit, and there will be an update in a few days!

Re: Republic Light Cruiser WIP
In my first reply I forgot to add that I did have a skeleton first. I just don't have the plates for the top and bottom to slant inward. (o_0)

If you want it to slant use some sort of click hinge.

On the old Imperial Star Destroyer they have some nice hinge type things.
