WIP RoboCop - Update 5/19/2010

I see that the helmet is almost ready, but did you even start on the body?

So here is an update. I am sorry for the delay but MOCing and working have taken over some of my time. I am also trying to finish filling a decal sheet before printing it out and I am really close to finishing that stage as well.

In the next week or so we should see the helmet decaled (hopefully).

It takes my sheet a day or 2 to dry the printer ink, then another day for the acrylic coat to dry so in that alone is half a week.

Wow, that's hard to believe it all started from a clone trooper helmet!

Finally an update! I've been waiting for awhile.

As I post this update I realize one of the changes I may want to do is make the decal have a slight blue hue to give the silver a steel blue feel.

But here he is. Version one (since I may update) of RoboCop. Protect and serve.

That whole thing looks really good. I love it!

Thanks all! I had alot of fun with this one and wont let son play with it.

He now has the robocop gun as well.

I will probably revisit soon once I have caught up with work and cabgo is over...so not soon.

Can someone move this to the not so wip section.

Maybe I will make a clone army of robocops.

Amazing man, it came together really great. And you should make an army of them.

It looks spectacular eclipse, the decals and the paint are applied perfectly and it is quite accurate.

I already commented on flickr, but I thought it was good feedback, so I`ll post it again. I also forgot to add that the helmet and chromie stuff was rather well done.

Its not bad but the decalling looks a bit slanted to me. Also the decal itself does not seem to be done evenly. If you look at where the arms are the brown undersuit is larger on the left than on the right and the lines on the bottom are stretched off more to the left than right.

Good job though, keep at it!

Thanks everyone. It was fun... this one will be put away from my son. And some time in the future I will try again at a more accurate rendition.

The mouth piece was too big (noticed afterwards) and the issue that TD mentioned as well will be fixed by then.

I may even add arms and legs decals. We will see.

An army would be cool but too much time is spent on making the helmet. Maybe if I perfect one helmet then I can cast it and duplicate it. Even sell them.
