Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
Well, I've decided to give a shot at stopmotion for my final project in my school photo class and thought what better way to combine the project with Legos! The following set/figures will be featured in my upcoming (Wednesday or so) stopmotion film which will take place during TFU era and loosely based off of the game itself. The setting is inside an Imperial hangar. In building this project I've learned a few things 1. I have so much more respect for those who build big- as this is my biggest creation to date and keeping up with my standards of detail was difficult. I'm amazed at the amount of brick that goes into these projects 2. Stopmotion is incredibly challenging, but much more fun than I ever expected! My hat's off to those (Garet and Sith) who do it often. Very time consuming.
Cheers all

Try to ignore the studded floor. I didn't want to do it and it totally isn't my style, but studs are necessary for stopmotion.

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
Cool!!! You need to make the other side. Then the ends, & the roof. This could be a really cool MOC!
Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
It looks awesome! I love how you've done all the detail on the wall.

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
I saw this last night on flickr... nice nice NICE work. I love the white tiles for lights (I assume) really adds that feel to it.
Nice figs too... Look forward to the film.

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
^Agreed, I think the white tiles look good if they are for 'lighting' like the game or just for detail for that matter!I like all the details on the wall and
how they aren't the same for every area. I also enjoy the use of the antennas for gates/barriers. I can't wait to see it! Unless you aren't posting it...

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
Thanks all! Yes of course I will be posting the film for you to see! Wouldn't go through all the time and effort and not show it!

Looks very nice so far. What exactly is the movie going to be about?

Looks really good. I actually think the studs, give it a, uh, 'touch' to it. Looks nice. The figures are nice looking too.

Hubba hubba.
That is truly amazing. I love how you interprete the combonation of studs and greebles! This is excellent - It's so detailed and it's still fit for a stopmotion animation!

I believe he says it in the discription that it is a Force Unleashed movie. This looks sweet! The wall is very nice and I realy like the dark greebled area. Good job.

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
No words are needed, but they will be added. With brick films you often can't have detail. Filmers usually have to take away it for the ability to film, but you have not needed to do this. It absolutely perfect. I can't wait to see the film. I really can't.

Nice, just advise, you could put smooth tiles on the ground.

His is friggin epic. I loved the smoothness of his figure actions. I don't know if I can get it that smooth but I'm going to try to shoot for 15fps. I'm not sure if I'll be going into 'shop and adding lightsaber effects. If I can rip sound files off a cd, there will be sound effects.
Thanks again all!
Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
I really like this one Revo! The dark bley greeble stripe is what first caught my eye. I'm not to big on the untiled floors, but maybe after the stop-motion you could tile the floors for an update? All in all well done!

Ah yes, forgot to mention that. I'm planning on turning this into a kinda pre-epic TFU dio, dio. So there will be tiles.
Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
If you want tips, just look at popular channels on youtube(fancypants, thefourmonkeys, etc.) for tut's. FancyPants has some pretty good ones that I use too.
Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
OKay, I like the greebles on the wall, I like the figs, I like the way how you built the rail, I like-
But what does the light blue thing on the shoulder of the pilot represent?

Re: Imperial Hangar (Stopmotion Set)
The set looks great. But xxxfancypantsxxx has set a high bar for TFU.
Get the star wars lego game 1 and 2 demo for PC, they have all of the sounds in .WAV
