Force Thrust Air Speeder
Powered by engines that take up half of the interior of this racer the Force Thrust Air Speeder is ideal not only for racing but also for smuggling and out running the authority.
This is my first vehicle MOC so be gentle.
Still learning how to use certain bricks and didn't want to use the excuse of not having enough pieces. I liked the front and was the main part that I had done when I decided to dive into this build... became a pain in the .... neck. I deviated so far from the original design but I still wanted to enter to show some team spirit.
It's not the best, but also not the worst.

Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
Yeah after a few hours of trying to get everything to connect I decided not to venture deeper (yet) after solving that last problem.
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
IMO I would drop the back part and attach the engines so you do not have a big lump like you right now.eclipsegrafx wrote:Yeah after a few hours of trying to get everything to connect I decided not to venture deeper (yet) after solving that last problem.
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
Try putting the engines on the side. Then you could lower the back and keep the engines.

Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
I too like the front. My only question is why does it have a windshield, when the pilot can see over it?
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
The front and back is pretty nice, but I don't like how the sides are just like cut off straight. Put some curved SNOT on the side or something to make it not look square.

Ehh, it isn't your best, but it isn't awful. 7 out of 10.

On the contrary. Its my best vehicle MOC ever.
Thanks for the generous 7 though.

Ha ha. No prob on the 7, it is a good moc, and deserves recognition.

It is perfect how you entered this right after my cop car.eclipsegrafx wrote:Powered by engines that take up half of the interior of this racer the Force Thrust Air Speeder is ideal not only for racing but also for smuggling and out running the authority.
The front grill is neat, but I agree with everyone else, that the back looks too tall and blocky. I would experiment with some greebling and other snot techniques along the sides as well.

yeah I know. Like I said it's my first time doing a vehicle MOC. The original Idea wasn't so blocky and would have looked cooler. I May revisit in near future (the GBuild) and see if I can learn how to do the SNOT techniques and apply it better.
The back was only meant to be the grillage with a sloped top. Those engine pieces were meant to be on the side and the whole car a little longer and sleeker. We will see what the future holds.
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
I think it looks nice. Defiantly the kind of speeder you would see smuggling something. Racing on the other hand is a role its design doesn't fill.
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
I personally think that the vehicle design and the way your minifig looks makes it seem like a smuggling van.
Re: Force Thrust Air Speeder
It is the Star Wars equivalent of: http://doctore0.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/free_candy_van.jpg
I said no (I think flickr) that it has some good techniques, but the sides are to boring.
