The Rook - Stop Motion Project
A frame of animation from the beginning scene.
You may remember a post of mine talking about a rough outline of a stop motion trailer I was planning on doing titled "The Rook", well I have decided to make that trailer and since I'm pretty new to stop motion I thought it would be a good idea to seek advice and support from fellow Guild Members. I'm not entirely new to stop motion, I have done several tests in effects and animation but I'm largely novice in several other key areas. I'm pretty much looking for people to help me with, Voice Acting, Effects, Audio and Animation although I'm mostly needing help in Voice Acting and audio.
Audio:
I have no idea were to start with this one.
1. I am willing to buy music on ITunes but I do not know how I can make it into a file that will work with Windows Movie Maker.
2. I know there are plenty of places to get free music that is more orchestra but again some of these files are made not to work with editors and I don't know several of these websites as well.
3. I know of a couple websites which has sound effects but the more the merrier, do not hesitate to give me any links even if you think I know of it.
Voice Acting:
To be blunt I can't voice act for crap and I'm curious if any of you are willing to voice act yourself or know someone who would be willing to voice act. I would be eternally grateful if you could help along these lines. The thing Is I do not have a skype nor will it work on my computer so I need people who can send files via email or other means.
To send me a clip just follow these instructions.

"Nom, Nom Tasty Irony" In more of a sarcastic and amused voice
Or
"Will this piece of crude even work?" In more of a desperate and scared sort of voice. Thanks for all the help.
Voice Actors. All voice actors will appear in the credits as will anyone else willing to help.

I would appreciate if you could help me with anything even if its simply one sentence of advice, thank you in advance.
Notice: I have posted this in the GMA because I don't need 50 Clonetards sending me 12 year old voice acting clips or knowing my email.

Let me guess... The Rook moves in 4 directions killing whatever is in it's way with his lightsaber?
I might be interested in voice acting. Gotta find the old mic though...

I'd suggest some sort of humor involving Rook and the chess piece Rook.
It's my dry wit but I believe there would be a few laughs.

Random Person yells out "Rook!" in terror/anguish/shock/questioning, and camera pans over to a chess piece. Person then says "No! Other Rook!" and then camera pans over to Rook.
Just an idea, I guess.

In my opinion, the best program for audio is Acoustica Mixcraft.
You can convert those files to movie-compatible files, and add voices and sound effects where needed, even on top of a music file. Or you can make your own songs, like I did with the pre-programmed clips and ones from Jedi Outcast... also, unlike half of Lego animators on youtube, my voice has deepened.

Ok, here's some advice, if you have templates, tape it to the surface of where you're filming, use a tri-pod to take pics, it will help steady your camera. Thats all I got for you!
Can I be a voice?
