Battle of Hoth

I've had this sitting on my desk collecting dust for over 2 weeks now, and I finally decided to finish it. It's a 36x36 depicting when the Rebel's send in the T-47's to defend the base from the Empire. The main point of this MOC was to make a display for my 7130 re-make. I had a great time making this MOC, and I would love to take on Hoth on a much larger scale in the future. Enjoy!

The scene that I was trying to captured had no Empire in it. Right when the T-47's pass over the rebels, the Empire was still a ways away from the trenches and the base. They get closer, but this is right when the battle starts.

Great job, but it needs Snowtroopers, and some Imperials.

I think the snow could be different... Smoother, or more symmetrically lumpy.

For some reason, I think you could have done better with the texture in the front of the moc, it looks too smooth, the rest though is fantastic.

Awesome! Just awesome. Where did you get the idea for the anti-vehicle cannon? Anyway just cool.

Awesome. I have to say that the lighting, while not part of the build of course, really adds to the scene. And while everything but the landscaping, (which is simple but good) is something we've already seen, I must say that I at least really enjoy the build. Great jo, it has a nice flow and feel of action to it.

Finally! A good Hoth MOC that doesn't have any bumps and edges sticking out! Very well done.

This is really good. I especially like the cannon design and how you made the blaster shots. I might just like it because of the Hoth rebels. I don't have any but I'll get some when I go to the Chicago LEGO store.

Very nice! Good use of incorporating previous MOCs into something! And I love the trench!

As I said before, the Imps were not even close to the trench when the T-47's came in. They were on the other side of the battle field! If I was going for a non-cannon battle, yes the Imps would be in the MOC, but I go for accuracy!

Very nice job on the MOC, but the snowspeeder needs orange on it, like in the movie.

Luke flew a grey snow speeder, not an orange one. Also, I prefer Luke's over the orange version.

Normally I don't like tiled snow, but this is awesome.

This creation is completely excellent.

Yep, they were all light bley, but instead of orange markings, he had dark bley markings.

Despite anything bad anyone said (if anyone said anything bad.....), I love it! It's a very simple design. It's nothing complicated like the Death Star or something like that!

Oh yeah, sorry Knight :d'oh: , I was thinking of the one of the other snowspeeders, because some had orange markings but I think one had red markings. Oh and by the way, did anyone here go to the Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando? I went there on Saturday.
