Captain Fordo

I decided to do my captain fordo this month to compete against the other clones that are up for minifig of the month.

Before dutch says it: "I don't like the torso design."

I know he doesn't but its ok with me. It's one of the things that makes mine different then the rest.

Great job on it! Nice job using the Vambraces!

I'm lovin' that helmet! Nice job on the fin.

BTW, are those MMCB's clothes? Or did you make them yourself?

When it comes to clothes MMCB is the way to go.

You did this flawlessly in my opinion. Fantastic!

Thanks but I have to admit that the fin is paint. I got tired of trying to apply the dam decal.

Oh I plan on making them myself but there is no substitute to getting his. MMCB has High quality fabric and print and also templates.

His fabric you can not just simply buy at the store but hand treated. Took him 2 years to develop the perfect combo he offers now which is why I rather buy it then make it.

And can avoid his "10% of sale" deal.

I rather spend the money and not the time making them the way he does.

He isn't making much off of them so he can't sell them much cheaper.

Well, I still think Making them yourself is much better than having to buy them from MMCB and then having to pay %10 to sell them. SO if you want them for your personal collection, they are good, otherwise,

But yes, great figure eclipse. Did you use paint on the helmet? Or is it decals?

Damn, this is gonna be hard to beat.

I am always on the side of MMCB. I believe in quality products.

Thanks all, its a painted fin. And Justin I don't know about that. But I wanted to level the playing field and not do a jedi this month. Still saving him... maybe next month.

It's a very nicely done fig, but I think a custom guy would've been better. You captured Fordo perfectly IMO, but it's an over-done character. There's probably 20 or so Fordos on this site alone.

Doesn't negate that hes my favorite from the CW series.

I didn't want to move on to another till i finished this one either.

I just have to say, that is my dream figure.

I actually don't like the vambraces on the fig. Clones don't have extra large forearm gear. Also, I don't like the ammunition pouches being covered by the kama.

The paint is a bit cracked on the fin.

This is still awesome though!

The kama point you just brought up make sense.

The Vambraces aren't supposed to be extra armor its the part of the arm that they use as communication.

I only put it on both sides to keep it even and balanced.

Cracked where? It can't be cracked since its fresh paint. Finished about 30 minutes before posting it.

Excuse me, there are some lines that show near the top of the fin on the side, I realized that in the pic.

I guess it's just the results of an semi-uneven paint job. No biggy.

I'm with Eclipse, I am on the side of MMCB (even though I have not bought anything from him). Nice fig Eclipse, Fordo is one of my favorites too.
