[WWII] Jeeeep!!!
After watching Saving Privet Ryan, and Band of Brothers, and seeing all of the WWII MOCs I decided I needed to make one my self, here it is:
And the Parachute variant:

Anyway, I think it's a little to bright with that shade of green. Try it in dark bley or dark green.

What's off about the shaping? And I would have used a darker color, but I just don't think I have the bricks to do it. :/brickartist wrote:

Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
I bet you used the Toy Story (shame on lego for the crap!) army dudes set. I've got it too, but only for the figs. The woman at the store asked if it was a present! (moment of shame that I share with lego!)
Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
This is great for a first-timer! You've got the basic shape down and the parachute version is epic. My only nitpicks are the front bumper, it'd be cooler if it were 6 wide and vertical, not horizontal, and if the hood could be just one stud over the wheel mudguards instead of 2. Great work here all around.
Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
Thanks, and I'll see what I can do about the bumper, but what do you mean by the hood should be one stud over the wheel mudguards instead of two?PhiMa wrote:This is great for a first-timer! Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
Now the grill looks too sunken in. I say bring that out a little too.

I think that's kind of how they're supposed to be:Rabid Squirrel wrote:Now the grill looks too sunken in. I say bring that out a little too.

Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
The way the bumper is held on the grate can't move forward, and I also thought the front looked funny when I tried moving it forward.

Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
Then try moving the bumper back half a plate. (Use some jumpers. )

Re: [WWII] Jeeeep!!!
Hmmm. Try to lower it somewhat, and at least increase the hood length by one stud, if not two.
