(Updated) Republic Gunship
For my latest MOC I decided to take on the most iconic PT vehicle, the Republic Gunship. From the start I knew I wanted it to have some play features, so the proportions (mainly the height) are a tad inaccurate as of now, but I plan on improving it in the future! I also plan on trying some color variations, and adding bubble turrets. That's it for now, and C@C is welcome as always!

That looks simply amazing! But is it supposed to look that tall? I always thought that it was a little shorter than that.

Thanks! Yeah, it's about 2 bricks too high. As I said in the description, I plan on fixing that, but since this took 2 months already, I won't be fixing for a little while.

Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Wow! So beautifully studless! Besides the height issue, the nose is a little too flat and abrupt. Overall: amazing .
Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Excellent work. Aside from what's already mentioned, the wings seem to be puny compared to the body, and too far back down the fuselage. Also, the trailing edges should be at a sharper angle.
Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Overall nice first iteration. I've included the netting for cargo in the bay as well. I'm not yet sure how I feel about the few studs under the wings and at the front part of the ship, though I see why you did them. I'm trying to make mine completely studless. Also the front seems a little too flat or not angled enought and has that weird dip at the top of the nose. I think that will clear up once you drop it down 2 bricks however. Now toss on some decals!
*Edit I see the tile plates around the mid section of the hull throughout the ship. Does the top part detach to display the command center as featured in the most recent Gunship set, or does it reveal other playability options you mentioned? Also I really like the thickness and angle you added to the wings, looks great. Finally, the bay doors don't look like they close completely- are you just going to leave it as is?

Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Main post updated! Long story short, I dropped it while moving it, so I thought "oh well, might as well just fix the height now".
The doors close all the way, but they droop sometimes, especially when I made the video for the doors. As of now the only playable areas are the cockpits, and troop bay, but I have plans to keep adding to this.

Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Now that's a gunship.
Speaking of which, will there be an artistic decal on the side?

Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Whoa Amazing, Knight. I can't wait to see the color variations.
Perhaps you should bring the dark red in the cockpit all the way to the nose?

Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
The nose of the gunship looks a little different, I think it is supposed to be rounded, also I absolutely love the way you did the missiles inside the guns on the top. The studless design is very cool as well. Great job!
Re: (Updated) Republic Gunship
Great job on the gunship, the SNOT is great. However, I thinking the wings should be lareger/longer, since they look a little too small. But great job overall!

Eventually, but the $20-$40 price tag on BL for the 7676 sticker sheet is a big turn off.

I thought about it, but some of the pieces I don't have (& aren't made) in dark red.
