The Ilum Project.

For my first project back in the LEGOs I've decided to build Ilum. But I need help, if anyone knows of any kind of any Lego Ilum builds that they think might give me some ideas of what I could do, then PLEASE post them. I've never actually seen someone do an Ilum build so I'm in the dark right now. I've got a small 16x16 build done, but I don't have much else, as soon as I can get a good backdrop I'll post that as a finished build and then tear it down so I can build (what I hope to be) a 96x96 build.

So, post them other builds!

What is Ilum? I've not heard of it before.

Ilum is the planet that jedi get their lightsaber crystals from.

Ilum. Cold, and dark, except for these... crystals. We aren't here for the sights though, we are here for one purpose, scouting. The Republic wants to build an outpost on Ilum, but due to it's influence by the ancient Jedi Cults, we've been told to scout it out and look for anything that may come out of the caves and destroy the outpost. The general mentioned something about "the Dark Side" and "Dark Beast". He told us that this "Dark Side" would mess with our heads, we would see what is not there, and potentially could even be hurt by it. Great, just what we need, the ability to be hurt by an illusion created by dark Jedi magic. We split up, something I am now regretting, to be able to cover more ground quickly and, hopefully, be out of the cave by night, the time when these dark beast come out. Cripes I hope we can get out of here quickly...

I hit the share button, but it didn't provide an image like it usually does when I inserted the code, I've been having some issues with cabg not wanting to load properly recently, and so I decided to just try a new method. But, I'll gladly let you edit it.

I really like the design for the 'baseplate' of the vignette. Great border!

I feel like it's kind of a basic border, but I would like to get more advanced with the borders.

Ilum was a beautiful landscape. You've done a fine job brother. It's a shame knowing that after 20 years the prequels were made and spaces like this lasted only a moment for that occasion. Here we are today, 2022, and Starwars lore has been growing at such an astounding rate. Yet, no one here was able to use any of the new environments for inspiration and creation.
