IN-23 "Scaup" Heavy Strike Craft


The colors looked vaguely imperial so I threw one of my SWtOR imperial troopers in there and gave it an imperial designation, but there is certainly no backstory or anything fancy. It was also a test of a technique, shown below, that I plan to use for future weapons and landing gear as it seemed to work quite well for the torpedo bay on this ship.

Two years and you immediately make something like this? Color me impressed. The only feedback I can provide is that you might want to incorporate a bit more color, which is perhaps more down to personal preference than anything. Great work though.

Pretty much what Darman said. I like the overall shape, but the lack of color makes it a bit bland. But then again, maybe you were going for that.

I really like the shape of the ship, very sleek. One question though... can it swoosh?

Wow, looks sleek! I love the "official LEGO set" vibe this gives off, what with the fairly accessible design (although there's probably more than meets the eye) and play features.

Looks good, missile launcher on the bottom is really cool. I think some wing flaps would be a nice touch though.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, in regards to the colors, I was going for a more military and utilitarian look. There is a swoosh photo on my steam for you CJ, and Troopa, what do you mean by wing flaps, like the flaps in modern aircraft or somthing else?

Small foldable hinge flaps! Similar to Darth Vader's TIE Advanced or the V-Wing fighter. I think having that on the edges of the wings and a greebled side (instead of the long slope piece) would make it really good! But then again that would take away from the "classic" LEGO look that you may have been going for, so it just depends.

I like the idea Troopa, I will have to try that tomorrow when I have better light. In regards to greebles, I tend to dislike them because I feel like I would put my advanced machinery under at least a bit of armor and not just leave them sticking out, but that is just me.
