Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
Recieved initial ARC-Trooper training. Specializes in deep recon, and covert operations. He wields a custom DC-15 Blaster rifle, and has been known to use a lightsaber. I'm still drafting up his whole storyline, but what he will eventually become is Calamitous (calamity- disastrous, devastating, catastrophic) as seen in picture 2.

Dang... nice use of the Visor. I assume you drove holes into his helmet?

Very very tiny ones used with a tack. The helmet already has a groove there, so all it needed was a little more of an indent to hold the visor.

Hey legorev, do you mind if I use the hole/visor idea for my commander?

Of course not! My ideas/creations can be used by anyone! Just if you win a contest or something using my ideas, I expect a little credit to be given Also Alpha, the hole really doesn't need to be that big at all.
Re: Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
That visor on the helmet looks very nice, really!

Well...I'd call that a small mod... Its only 2 small holes into a small helmet Anyways, it fits perfectly, and Commander Viper is fit to go! By the way, I tried to make the rangefinder fit, but no, it didn't work ;P

Two things.
1: I love how you just inspired me to put holes in my clone's heads...
Ok well, I think I am doing it wrong. Could you post a pic where the holes are?
2: The second picture scared the crap out of me. I was sitting too close, and was no expected a big picture...
Very nice.

Haha! That's funny! Yeah I made Calamitous V2 to look very menacing and Astoria was right- it's Bane's head, but it looks awesome as a sith! I appreciate all the comments guys! I'm very pleased with what I got! I still consider myself a purist though, because I only made 2 small holes in the helmet. There's a lot of possibilities out there with just putting those small holes in the phase II helmets. I think I might play around with it a little more
Alpha- I was thinking about the rangefinder, but then realized it probably wouldn't work Sounds like you learned the hard way
Joker- Yeah I'll post a pic up for you in a few hours of where the holes in the helmet are. They're incredibly small- you don't need much to hold the visor in.
Re: Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
I do have one question though, Clones were specifically bred to be non-Force sensitive, so how does he get Force powers, and then fall to the Dark side?

Don't worry I've got almost the entire story planned out It's going to be a series of Story-Mocs that will be very very epic. Clones WERE known to use lightsabers though. There's an article on wookieepedia that talks about it- I think it was ION sqaud or something, can't remember now. But I will drop you a little teaser, the plant from my Order 66 moc will play an important role.

They could get force powers from very sweet drugs.

You don't want to sell me deathsticks. I don't want to sell you death sticks. You want to go home and rethink your life Blackjoker. I want to go home and rethink my life Legorevo! Here are the pics.
The hole is made with a tack- and doesn't need to be very big. Just shove the tack in the side of the helmet above the 'white ball with black circle in it' and rotate around a TINY bit. The hole does not need to be big! I would recommend doing this into the 'grey box' as seen on this helmet. If you go lower like I did you'll get the same results...
Visor is fully movable, and attatched to the helmet!
The only problem is I wish it could go down a little bit further. By placing the hole in that 'grey box' I think it will allow you to do this.
Never-the-less these visors still look cool on phase II helmets!
Can I get a mod to move this into the minifig creation thread?
EDIT: And moved, you did mean the ENTIRE thread didn't you? -MOD
Re: Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
Perfect, thank you for that tutorial! I will be doing some of these tonight!

Re: Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
Technically, the visor or "Caplet" as it is officially called, should be mounted IN that black circle on the bump, or very near it, that is where the new Clones have the mounts, and the "real" Clones as well.

The name caplet I did not realize, so thanks But as far as where the visor goes, I was aware of that. The problem with putting it in that particular spot is that it can't flip all the way up, and you can't see the republic insignia... So that's why I chose that spot.
Your welcome Bly!
And yes I did mean the entire thread. Thanks Astoria
EDIT- Or Rook. I wasn't aware both of you were online

^ It was me. Hmmm, sounds like an interesting problem, I'll have to do some experimenting...

You go ahead and solve that problem, and I'll go solve the problem for my Phase I Commander Calamitous for the Dark Knight!.... Ready.....break!

Go with a regular white clone. I already tested out the pauldron, kama, etc on them it looks great. Plus if you mess up it's just a standard clone. If you succeed then you can go to the more expensive troopers
Re: Commander Calamitous (CC-1391)
I will definitely use this on some clones! Thank you! Modder.
