Battle of Utapau: Attack on Hanger 10
It's finally done! I'm soooo happy!
Overview:
STAP incoming:
Rappeling down:
Battle begins:
Magnaguard enters the battle:
The back of the hanger:
Droideka!!!
AA gun #1:
AA gun #2:
Attack:
Hanger gun:
Enough with pictures.
Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=297973
Narrative:
The Grand Army of the Republic is sweeping the outer rim for Sepratist activity. The 222nd Legion, under the Command of Commander Shark, is sweeping the Utapau System. The 59th Recon Regiment is dispatched to investigate first, and to Shark's surprise, they find a small droid army hiding in one of Utapau's sink holes. The 4th mechanized is dispatched, and they rappel in to attack the droids. This will be continued...
NOTE: On other sites, this is to be the regular battle of utapau. However, here, it's not. This is the battle of the 222nd leigon, still early in the Clone Wars.

Really nice. I've seen some of your other works, and while they were nice, this one was especilly good!
Re: Battle of Utapau: Attack on Hanger 10
Sa-WEEEET! Most excellent! The repelling clones, double walkway, turrets, etc... all looks great! (My only idea to spiff it up is to add some tube/pipe, but this is no longer a WIP, and it looks great anyways. )

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad everyone likes it so far. I would put a decal on the magnaguard's face, but that is against the contest rules.

A see-through gun holds up the stap. You are allowed to use modifacation's, but not decals? Wierd.

Nice work. Good size for storage.
Love the work on the Crab Droid and on the GG bodygaurd.
Nice try on mixing the new Droideka and old Droideka to make one that looks more realistic. Still think the older design looks best. Probably from hours of playing SWLego!
Intense detail. Keep 'em coming. Battle MOCs/Dioramas rock!

w00ts. I like.
But I fail to see Commander Cody destroying a spider droid.

Commander Cody never did that; it was just a regular trooper. And that was way into the battle, this is just the begining.

Very nice. I read on the fbtb thread that it looks cluttered. I agree. Good though.

Very nice, maybe could you add a bit more detail and light bley and dark red? Look at the Utapau map at swbf II for example, that could be a nice source for detail.

Ahh hence no Grevious, but if ths took part early in the war it means one of two things later HAS to happen, the first being that your legion altimatly fails and is repulsed from the planet. Or that they succeed only for the planet to later be recaptured by the Seps.

We are going to seige the planet and later leave. Then three years later, the CIS take the planet for use again.

Re: Battle of Utapau: Attack on Hanger 10
Sounds good, but there are two problems with your timeline. According to you your battle takes place early in the war, but all your clones wear Phase II armor, which the earliest this battle could have taken place was halfway through the war when this type of armor became widely depoyed. Secondly the entire Clone Wars only lasted three years so you would have to have pulled out and the Seps moved back in, in a way shorter time frame than three years, otherwise this battle took place at the same time as Geonosis.
But other than that I like everything about your scene!

I saw this on EB and was checking to see if my eyes deceived me. I would give this a 20/10!

Wow crusher, please stop bumping topics. Anyhow, great job CC, one of your best MOCs (if not the the best).

I don't think it's really a crime to comment on old MOCs. It gets a lot of people who didn't see them the first time around to see them the second time.
Re: Battle of Utapau: Attack on Hanger 10
Well, crusher better have a good reason for it this time, or CC'll be on his tail like a cat chasing a rat.

Re: Battle of Utapau: Attack on Hanger 10
I think it should be frowned upon. It just clutters up the forum and bumps down newer, more important MOC's. Plus he really didn't add anything.Zepher wrote:I don't think it's really a crime to comment on old MOCs. Thank you Zepher. I think the new people joining shoud see old mocs, because sometimes they are the best like this one.
