You don't really need a tutorial on this...

Just desaturate the image. Then blur it a bit in motion blur. Colorize it. Then add lines!

Hmm. If it's a hologram, only shades of blue. Depending on the hardness of the color, it's the darkest shade of blue.

Yup its Supernova. That's the way I did it in my comic. I thought the light was more dramatic. I use Sial's technique for burning wreckage.

The thing I don't like about Supernova is that it's not that big. Maybe I need to play around with it more, I thought I was able to make it work...

So make it B and W and then make it blue! Good job though!

Actually in the holograms every now-and-then a stripe of color runs up the hologram. Smile

Same as a lightsaber. Except do 4 copies of the original layer, and Gaussian Blur them at 5, 20, 40, and 80. Wink
