Is there a way to make mist or fog using GIMP?

I just thought of a way. Add a new layer, and then make it transparent. Change the brush to a fog like brush...like fuzzy. Change the color to light gray then draw on your image. Then go to layers>>transparency. Then click "Add Alpha to Layer". Voila! Fog.

Note: I haven't tried this yet.

BTW, for your sig. The third sign is developing a split personality. The fourth is having a conversation between them. Razz

Crap! I just tried it. Here's a new way of doing it. Make a new layer that is BLACK. Then change the type of layer to "Screen". Then just draw on top of it with the fuzzy brush.

Couldn't you just paint over the image using a grey brush with high transparency? Or is that not something the Gnu Image Manipulation Program can handle? Razz

I've noticed that there is often Aurebesh on GIMP'd pictures. Is there a font for Aurebesh, or do you craft the letters yourself?

It's free, although I'm not sure where I downloaded it... it was a site will all kinds of SW fonts.
