101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
Unique troopers, they are some of the best, and are used on all fronts. They wield Z-6 rotarys, and blaster carbines.

OK, I want to get some facts straight: I know the sharpie job is messy, and I am working on improving it. So I don't want to hear any "You used Sharpie: Yuck!" (DP) or any "It is messy, use alcohol!" (T-B). Got that?

Your deffinetly getting better, he looks pretty good to me. His slight messyness adds to the "gritty" Commando feel.

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
I never think of anything with a phase II helmet on as a commando or ARC. Unless he is a specialized unit in a regular squad. However, your sharpie skills are getting better, but they can still improve yet.
And you are still not embedding pictures directly into the post!
I like the white rubber band idea, I wish I had one.

You can't really call it his idea if it's been used....twice! And it's a bit sloppy, but a little better.

Thanks ABL! If I get the chance, I will post a V2.
@CC: This is not related to commandos really. Think of them like Alphas Support Commandos.
Can I embed pics with Flickr?

With Flickr? Yes. But at the end of their pic URL's you will see a .jpgv=0 or something...Make sure to cut off everything that comes after the .jpg in the picture URL when you embed it.

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
Slightly messy, clean it up a little bit, CC-007 is right I can not imagine a commando with a phase II helmet.
Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
It's OK. You should use the sharpie with the super tiny point next time.
Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
Alot better from your earlier clone Aki!
The sharpie job is nice, but you should shave of the fin and make it black...
Also to add deeplinks, just press Medium Size, and then copy the shorter URL!

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
Looks one of your best sharpie'd clones! I suggest using your white balance on your camera though.

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
It's messy, but I have to say a whole lot better than your earlier clones. And I can see how some of the smearing is adding to that gritty commando feel.
How do you sharpie your clones? Do you use a "painters tape" method, where you cut out pieces of easily-removable tape or and put it over on the areas where you don't want to sharpie?

Never heard of that technique! I always just disassemble my minifig, then go close up and sharpie!

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
I don't do either! I just take the whole clone, and Sharpie him very slowly... FREEHAND!!!
And the key is too not not smear it with the side, use the point and go one direction... kinda like when you're painting a wall!
Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
And also, Aki, I like the way you made the helmet look 'battle-damaged.
Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
If you want battle-damaged,you should see my commando.
It's smeared all over!

What set did you get the black ammo piece with? I only know of the brown ones with the hailfire.

Re: 101st legion Advanced Tactical Commando
I think he looks sweet! It's nice to see a different looking commando.
But yeah try doing a better job on the coloring. Don't rush and take your time.
