Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Plus it would blend in with your other undecalled Clone Minifigures so it doesn't look so irregular.
[groans] 'oh: I know, that's what I am saying.
All year people are making decals that do fit in to the TLG group, and 2 people make to that do not fit in on the same day. That was my meaning, and I will re-word my older posts later.

Its funny Custom king...
I didn't understand what you meant until now! After all that back and forth it only took that example to clarify it. I didn't know people actually slide them over previous bodies with decals.
I printed my first sheet of decals and I had a little problem. The corner seemed to have a horrible accident and blotched up causing a mess of ink and the rest of the sheet doesn't look smooth. I printed a second sheet and it had some ink streaks (I cleaned print-heads before doing this one) and some of the green is blotchy not smooth. For the most part the faster print was better then the first. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Im on a mac and on inkjet. Has anyone done decals on laser? Is it better?
thanks

Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
...I have no idea what could be wrong, but I'm guessing you mean it was defected right out of the printer? Did you put the waterslide on top of a whole ream of paper? You might want to use just half a ream, a whole one might make the decal too close to the top of the printer...
If that happened after you put the decals in water, you need to seal them first.

I don't think there should be a problem with the inkjet though. It happened to me once and after I used the cleaning button on my printer it was okay after that.

That sometimes happens if you don't varnish the paper right after it prints. Did you spray it with sealant?

Anyone have some flesh tone decals for this fig http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/2/20/Dash.jpg
Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
I really need the back of the phase 2 clone pilot and it needs to match the old version. The helmet decal isn't urgent, but I have a new request I need a gunnery control pad, like on the Venator that will fit on a standard Lego flag (the one about the size of a minifigure chest). Once again thanks in advance.bladerunner wrote:I would be great if someone could make a decal of the back of a phase 2 clone pilot and a plain airborne trooper helmet decal that would go on a blank stormtrooper helmet. Thanks in advance

Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Lol, No problem, now 2 people have had me give them the same decal, in the same post.
@ First brick: decal coming your way soon... EDIT: I'm sorry, did you want the head or the torso... never mind, here's both. EDIT 2: I redid the ugliest parts and messed with the color a bit, it should look better.

Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Ugh... did you just take a pic from your screen with a camera and called it a decal?

Looks like it. The picture and the decal look exactly the same, even the light reflection on the legs. If you did make it though, my apologies.

Yes, it looks way too light, ugly, and unrealistic. I mean the least thing you could do was take a printscreen.

Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Print screen? Like a screenshot? Because I don't have that figure, I just used the picture First Brick posted.
EDIT: fixed it using your reccomendations, it looks better now, keep in mind that I'm not Chaotic Good, I did this in Paint.net.

I would be so ashamed to call that a decal.Custom King wrote:Lol, No problem, now 2 people have had me give them the same decal, in the same post.

Tell me make program do you use for your decal's?
Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Paint.net. I know that is the problem, but I don't buy software.

Here I'll give you a hand
This is a free vector program called Inkscape . Work's great for decal's.
Re: All Decal Requests & Share Decal Images
Or try GIMP. Works good too.

OK, how does it's line tool work, I can't figure that out.
EDIT: Ah, I'll use GIMP. Wait, GIMP doesn't even have a line tool!
