Heart sculpture

For my first sculpture, I though I'd go for something simple, a heart. I had good time building this, it was a nice break from SW dio's. The build time was about 45 minutes, and completely free style.

Happy Valentines to you too! This is really nice. For some reason, it seams to go along with today. Not sure why...

I'm gonna build one of these, and give it to my girlfriend.

Simple, but it's still nice as it maintains it's overall shape. Happy Valentine's Day!

This reminds me alot of the heart sculpture Revo gave his GF when he went off to college. I like it. One thing I have to say though, I personally think it would be better if you did it with plates...

Thanks, Bizzle. I didn't use plates (except in a few spots) for two reasons, the first being I didn't want it to look like Revo's sculpture (which is great). The second is, it was heavily inspired by Nathan Sawaya's work. He uses mostly just basic bricks to create shapes, and that's what I wanted to achieve with this sculpture.

His sculptures are amazing, I recently purchased his book, "The Art of the Brick", and it's really inspiring. You can check out his works here.

Nice build, but I can't help but saying this: Nathan Sawaya Strikes Again!!!
