For my first sculpture, I though I'd go for something simple, a heart. I had good time building this, it was a nice break from SW dio's. The build time was about 45 minutes, and completely free style.

Simple, but it's still nice as it maintains it's overall shape. Thumbs up Happy Valentine's Day! Smile

This reminds me alot of the heart sculpture Revo gave his GF when he went off to college. I like it. One thing I have to say though, I personally think it would be better if you did it with plates...

Thanks, Bizzle. Smile I didn't use plates (except in a few spots) for two reasons, the first being I didn't want it to look like Revo's sculpture (which is great). The second is, it was heavily inspired by Nathan Sawaya's work. He uses mostly just basic bricks to create shapes, and that's what I wanted to achieve with this sculpture.

You're welcome! Ahh, that makes sense, I understand why it is in bricks now. Who is Nathan Sawaya? I've never heard of him...

His sculptures are amazing, I recently purchased his book, "The Art of the Brick", and it's really inspiring. You can check out his works here. Smile

Wow, nice heart, it looks really nice. Sadly, on Valentines Day, I didn't get to spend it with the one I love Sad.
