M4 Sherman Tank (for my Great WarS Era Faction)

After ordering parts, planning, and building I have FINALLY finished my M4 Sherman tank!

I'm rather proud of it, although it may still need some work, but here's the 'action' shot,rolling treads,a pose-able gun,and a rotating turret!



Side shot, and I know the tread system is...ok.

Tank commander manning the 50. cal, and a couple riflemen who are too lazy to walk, hitching a ride!




Well, I rather like it, and I hope you guys do too! So, please, C&C welcome, so post a reply about your opinion of it!

And here's a reference pic.

Although the colour of the treads don't match (which ain't your fault) it's a pretty darn good representation!

Pretty nice, but it could use some detailing, and the brown should be removed, you should get back threads.

Thanks! And I may get back to it and get some white star decals and put 'em on the sides! And what do you mean by "back-threads"?

Looks pretty accurate to me...

It's an okay design, my only complaints with it are the lack of detail, the blandness of the design itself, and the gun. The gun doesn't seem to smooth enough in my opinion; I would have gone with the little 2X1 cylinders, for that, keeping your end mechanism .

I think that more should be added to the front like on the reference picture, and the treads, they just don't look right in brown, definantly should get black. It's a pretty good design though!

You're right, I think I'm gonna go work on the detail for a bit, and then sometime in the future post the more detailed version!

There needs to be more than stacked slopes, maybe 1 slope with some tiles, but it's alright.

Everything looks fantastic, except the treads. They seem a bit too thin.

I think you should add a hatch and some handles on the front like in the reference pic. Oh, and make the gun longer.

So replace the treads, add a hatch to the front, and improve the turret. It isn't bad, but it's not the brightest light in the Sherman tank gallery.

I'm going to eventually add more detailing before I feature it in my WWII series, but I can't change the treads, because I don't have any others...

And the "hatch" on the front is just the machine gun hole, which the hatch folds out to cover it, and folds inside the tank when it's needed, and I just have the mg out and the "hatch folded in". And I'm going to add some more stuff to the front when I get a chance!

I hate to sound like such a noob but, are the figs supposed to be Germans?

It looks very good, but I would change all those slopes on the front.Maybe replace them with a couple plates and add a little hatch?

Yeah, the color differentiation of that little lever is bothering me...
