Sherman Tank
I think this is some of my better work if not my best. I think I could have added more detail but I wanted to keep it realistic.

Tell me if you like the photos, I have been experimenting with Light-Work and I made the photos a blue-ish color.

Not bad! So that's why the photos look blue.

Re:Sherman Tank
Wow you did a outstanding job! The tank looks like it was well thought out and the I like how you even put detail in the treads. Though it lacks the detail on the top (It's fine since you want to keep it accurate) it is still amazing. Overall (I tend to use that a lot don't I?) the Moc is outstanding! But i have one complaint shouldn't the barrel be longer?

Re: Sherman Tank
I have two complaints. One is that it doesn't really resemble a Sherman, and two is that the 'head' looks more like a Panzer 2... A Sherman's barrel is significantly thinner IMO.

I hate to break it to you but the fact that it doesn't really resemble a Sherman is wrong. Though i agree with you that the head looks nothing like a Sherman head, the body looks amazingly accurate. Here is a pic of a sherman to prove it. Also i think you should use two of those barrel pieces your using currently. But then put a antenna rod at the top of it with the third and last of your barrel pieces.
(Note is a pic that big aloud in the CABG?)

Re: Sherman Tank
I meant the head was too small for the body. In that pic you posted the head is rather larger than the one he made. That's my only complaint.

Thanks a lot, do you like the blue-ish photos or should I change them? I could make a V2 with a bigger head if you wanted.

The blue-ish is okay just don't use it on dark gray.

Re: Sherman Tank
The chassis is accurate, but the turret is not. In fact, if you wanted - you could add a whole lot of sand green to it, a gas tank on it's side, and call it a T-34 .
Revise the turret, and your good to go, though.

Re: Sherman Tank
Wait. You said your MOC was a Sherman, but the photo you used to prove a point was a Firefly. Any way, the turret's body is to small and the barrel is too long for the size of the turret. If it's a Firefly, the turret's body is to small, and the barrel is too short. Any way it's a woderful MOC, I like tanks, for WW2 I prefer the Tiger, tough. You got the main body right,
all-in-all: If it's a Sherman and you just found that pic, 8.5/10, If Firefly, 8/10.
Note to the people that don't know what a Firefly is: The Firefly is a M4 Sherman with the main gun of a British(?) main battle tank.
Sorry if I confused anyone.

Epic lulz. Someone wanted to show off .
If you really wanted to clarify, the definition would have been in the post. And the British Sherman Firefly is a medium tank. It was really a glass cannon, as it was just the standard, flimsy-Arse (well, when compared to the later Panzers V, VI, VI B) Sherman chassis with a 17-pounder slapped on the turret. Could never fill that role... assuming it existed in the time anyways. Ask someone in 1940 what a MBT was, and they'd stare at you blankly .

Were he to do that the turret would have to be even smaller.
@ Lukas: Oh wow a Firefly isn't a Sherman? I never knew that!
Not...

Not really. The turret's about the right size for the job, currently. It's even shaped appropriately. It isn't going to allow minifigs inside, though... but I doubt the vehicle was built with that in mind.
Re: Sherman Tank
Reference pic? I seem to remember the T-34 having a smaller turret than the Sherman, for some strange reason.

Re: Sherman Tank
Maybe instead of using sloped bricks, maybe use a plate? I think that would make it look a bit better...
Re: Sherman Tank
This is the reference picture I used, I'm pretty sure it's a Sherman. In this picture the barrel is not that long though.

Re: Sherman Tank
Yeah, the barrel here is much shorter.
But, it looks pretty accurate and I think that it is some of your better work Funky Cow. Overall it is a 7/10.

Re: Sherman Tank
I'm a fan of this, I like what you've done to detail the treads and their mechanism. What would really make this an exceptional MOC is getting a figure to ride in the turret, but isn't that the trick with tanks?
